Yes, total oops. But don't forget—almost every president or VP has found himself in bed with criminals or miscreants. Ken Lay flew GW Bush to the inauguration, but was later convicted of felony (Enron). Rumsfeld was huggy-wuggy with Saddam Hussein...this stuff just happens. More often than not, people arrive at high places by breaking more than a few rules, and laws. Sadly.
Actually, I've seen a ton of democrats say "lynch 'em" in regard to Bush and Cheney. It's not racist at all... it was the ideal form of capital punishment at one time. Just because there is a stigma attached to it doesn't mean everytime it's used it's racist.
And I find it ironic you use "racist" and "cracker" in the same sentence. You might also want to go watch that DeLay dancing video on TPM ...all those homophobic, anti-gay democrats sure are surfacing on that video :)
Why would you just throw a random irrelevant hypothetical into a discussion that has nothing to do with racism or African Americans? Basic conversational flow, kiddo.
Far from an "ideal form of capital punishment," the 'stigma' attached to lynching is that it's inherently un-just. When an angry mob terrorizes and murders an accusee, they become the real criminals. REAL Americans believe in respecting the rights of the accused.
But you're right about people who are uncomfortable with men who dance. It's an unfortunate fact that homophobia knows no party lines. However, it's also a fact that the virulence of anti-gay sentiment is much stronger on your side.
Uhm.. maybe its significant since US has not had an ambassador to Iran since severing diplomatic relations with Iran after the hostage crisis in 1980?
So what's so news worthy about this? Namazi is not connected to the Iranian regime. He is an Iranian American. I dont see why he couldn't be an Ambassador.
Sept. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Hassan Nemazee, a top fundraiser for President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton who was arrested last month, was indicted by a grand jury for defrauding Citigroup Inc.,HSBC Holdings Plc and Bank of America Corp. of $292 million.

If this was Bush the comments would read more along the lines of...
"Figures, they're all crooks. Lynch 'em!"
"Typical republican cronyism"
"Screw these friggen criminals!"
njcarlos1 2 years ago
Democrats don't say, "Lynch 'em!"
That's for racist, conservative, crackers.

It's racist in the context of American history when you say it about a black man.
p00lman 2 years ago
I never said it about a black man rofl. Reading comprehension FTW

Where did I say you did?
A when-clause is general and often hypothetical.
Basic grammar, kiddo.

Can you point me towards the video that shows this? Or are you just making stuff up?

You said that talking about lynching isn't racist. I said it could be.
Not only do you look childish for failing to see the obvious, but you look even more so for mimicking me. Get your own insults, boy.
