It's sad that the readers of "Blink" think of this song as representative of Kenna's music, when in actuality, this was Kenna's attempt at becoming more mainstream,in effect, his "New Coke". Thus, his entire output shouldn't be judged off this song alone. Try "Sun Red,Sky Blue","Hell Bent","Turn","Baptized in Blacklight" or his new single "Chains". Your opinion might change. Also, last time I checked a "rockstar" can have a myriad of looks. Freddie Mercury,Bono, and Steven Tyler look nothing alike.
People .... FRED DURST thought he was good .... FRED DURST ... Why would anyone assume his word is worth anything ... have you listened to Limp Bizkit ... Wait ... you read Blink and wanted to be a hipster .... shame shame ... Fred Durst, guys ... come on ... Go watch "Nookie" Music is something different to everyone ... been listening to kenna since 1999, when all he had was a single, not even a label. it's sad to see how he's changed so much. i still love this album and new sacred cow but i've lost a lot of respect for kenna.
Who cares where you heard him...stop fishing for thumbs up geez...anyway love Kenna, remember I used to be obsessed with this song...the Neptunes amazing as usual
kenna doesnt want to be famous "if you like it keep it to yourself" his own words. he would rather have a cult following than be the song of the week.
@Shamonafrica Video was meant to be very Hunter S. Thompson - Fear And Loathing In Los Angeles. The vision was that Kenna didn't fit in any world, yet he didn't look like he didn't fit, so it made you wonder who fit anywhere... the juxtaposition of that and the morphing that happens when people don't understand you is the symbolism surrounding the computer graphics and melting faces etc. Actually a very complex concept for a video and artist...directly related to the title of the album.

@gabetheman2010 LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ignorance is bliss huh...? You don't even know my ethnicity you stupid piece of sh*t! You are the shame of East-Africa along with those (butt) pirates! Let's hope crying in your videos like a little b*tch that you are and dickriding the "Ethiopians are really really really really actually caucasion" myth will get you anywhere. Seriously, do you really believe your own bullsh*t? You are blacker than the average African you cunt. So deal with it!
i've known of Kenna since 2009 with Rockaway Love. i'm just now finding this other music from him. i am surprised to learn that he's also black...not because of the genre but because he sounds like a white man. 'Tis all good, I dig it!
Malcolm Gladwell and Kenna in cahoots?? Secret promotion? If it wasn't for Gladwell, nobody would have ever heard of him. I wonder what kind of kickbacks Gladwell gets?
Same here. Just read Blink and now I'm intrigued. Seems like Malcolm Gladwell's promoting Kenna pretty well. I dont' know if I like it because I'm unconsciously conditioned by his book already but regardless, I kinda like this track.
