@GONZASABA I mean realistically, you won't be hitting 155 in everyday life (which a AMG is really intended for) on everyday roads, and its mandated by the german government that these cars be built with these limiters. But for a very cheap price, you can have it removed. AMG also provides performance packages that increase the max speed to 186. Having it removed yourself may or may not void your warranty.

a) an AMG bsic training on the hockenheimring or nürburgring in germany

b) a displacement (not a removal!!) of the speed limiter on REAL 280 km/h, it's 287 on the clock. but you really feel it interrupt the acceleration, so it would even go faster.

Rubish.... you say that just because you should be those mercedes freaks. I like this merc, but there are so much better gearboxes than this. The IS-F gearbox for example, is better, or even the DCT from BMW, they are as smooth, and change gear faster, th9is speedshift is like an ordinary automatic gearbox with torque converter but just a little faster.

Tell me that speedshift iw better than the transmission in the F430 Scud, that changes gear in 50ms...

obviously u dont have much experience with this gearbox as u cant quantify its signaficance over others if u state the is-f tranny is better, the speedshift amg has no peers when it comes to the fact that the cars its featured in and competes with have to perform in the real world, many autos cannot accomplish the sporty characteristics while offering the smoothness appreciated MOST of the time. as too ferrari, merc has developed a torque converter-less auto as well as a dual clutch a la sls

You're wrong, IS-F uses torque converter when driving normaly, with all the smothness of any other auto, but in sporting conditions, it doesen't ueses it, and that's good because it gives you more feedback, faster changes, and doesn't have have that power loss porvided by the action of a torque converter. And any of those new double clutch gearboxes are as smooth as silk. And that speedshift in automode when driving in a track makes a mess with the changes, check out BMI when they tested it

You dont turn it off, but for example in the IS-F it uses the torque converter in 1st to 2nd gear, in the next changes the torque conveter is locked, so no more slip time made by the torque converter, wich makes faster changes and doesn't dissipate the power of the engine. In cruising auto-mode it changes gear as any other automatic. I didn't say you turn it off, it just don't uses it, by locking it. With that gearchanges become harsher, you feel in your back the kick.
