  • Great job. I use music as an outlet for my MS as well. Beautiful song. Thank you!

  • @hartblossom You are welcome. Thanks for the kind words.

  • Thank you :) that means so much

  • Thank you for putting ms into words. Especially in song. Sometimes it feels like no one can understand.

  • @Fight2CureMS

    This song is for you.

  • @Fight2CureMS I like to thing of music with meaning as coming from God. there is no way I could put MS in words. Thanks for the compliment though. The song can get you through some tough times. I am actually a fan of it.

  • Thank you for writing this song. I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago, and I was just now introduced to a support group on facebook. It's good to know that I am not alone when I am feeling down about my MS because I know there are people out there who care like you. I appreciate this song and you for dedicating it to us. This song reminds me that I have MS but I will never let it have me! :-)

  • @FlutemanKenny

That is my secret to happiness.

NEVER letting it have the best of me.

I have been liberated, but will never forget the daily struggle to get out of be.

    Peace.

  • @FlutemanKenny

    bed not be. :)

  • Thank you! I shared this with my MS group!

  • @mooers777

tHANK YOU for sharing my song.

I will eventually record an album about my fight with MS.

    spoiler alert* I WIN!!!!!

  • Thank you so much for this. I was diagnosed at 11 and have been living with it for 5 years now. It's looking to the future that's the scariest part of this disease for me.

I have really wanted to get a tattoo of inspirational words that can keep me going, if anyone has any ideas, let me know :)

  • @nrgdancer2012

    I tried to remember this:

My legs may not work well but my heart knows no bounds.

I sum it up with KEEP TRUCKIN'. (Something whispered when my face was in the dirt.)

  • @nrgdancer2012

I actually am getting a small puzzle piece on my forearm to symbolize that MS is only a part of me and not all of me.

  • Thank-you so beautiful ive been diagnosted having MS for the pass 5 year and this song is just beautiful ......and what i find hard its my humor changing due to all the pain ......and my family and friends not understanding what im gong through

  • @Smiley50100

    The MS community understands you.

WE are ONE voice and ONE LOVE.

You will find some miserable souls out there but for the most part.

MS'ers are not wimps and we fight for each other.

  • THANK YOU.. I was Diagnosed 3 years ago, I feel so alone sometimes because all of my friends don't know what i am going through! This song hit me hard man. Please keep it up. I honestly feel like better listening to someone who also goes through this also! THANK YOU!!!!

  • @infantrysoldier100

You are welcome. You are not alone.

We all have a lot of good times ahead of this.

    We have to believe this.

Thanks for writing a comment and btw. I help soldiers who come back with PTSD for a living.

YOU are my hero with that username.

  • Wow!! This makes me really cry... Tears in my eyes... Exactly how I feel... (I'm a friend of the Campfire Collaboration, not IN the band ;) )

MS Sucks, but só good we'll keep trying!!

    Take care!

  • @campfirecollaboratio

    To try is to succeed.

  • thank you....your song is amazing ...and so true im 21 and i've only had ms for 8 months...i hope you write more..im subscribing :D

  • I'm 18, living with ms for 1 year.

    Thank you for this song.

  • Whoever clicked "I don't like" this one person, how dare you, ignorant c__t!?

    Love ya Irish :)

  • @Sadistica

    MY HEEEE-RO! (bats eyelashes.)

    Love you too!

    Sincerely,

    Masochistica Mark :P

p.s. Thank you for my 100th like. My intuition tells me you clicked and it may not have been your first time.

  • thank you so much... im 17 and its happening to me, and im so scared and this song hits home in a wonderful way, it makes things less scary

  • @shenzycacy You are most certainly welcome. Everything is gonna be alright. Hold on because it is a bumpy road. Go ahead and grieve for what you may lose in a possible future. FOR A TIME and then LIVEURLIFE Ultimately in my journey I have found that God keeps his promises. I send you love and strength to get through this time. CLing to hope and scratch and claw to never succumb to fear. Check out my video: Multiple Sclerosis: The greatest crippler of young adults? Blessings, Mark
  • @shenzycacy :) My 21st birthday I've celebrated in hospital, diagnosed with MS (not the best birthday present :)).

I have MS for 1,5 ears. Trust me, a huge part of MS is "the choice". If you choose to loose your life, you'll loose it, but if you choose to live a full life - YOU WILL!!!

The only thing I can say is:"Don't try... Do it! And you succeed!" I've checked ;)

P.S. I found true love with the help of MS. I cannot have any treatment, so I don't waste my time. ;)

  • @AlexLopatenco this is all so true... if you choose to live with ms your life becomes so wonderful... I have had ms since I was 17 - now I am 23 - and I can safely say that i have found love IN ms. When you have ms you have to learn to accept yourself, without ms there aren't many excuses to do so ;)

  • @shenzycacy I have been living with ms since i was 16 im about to turn 19 now...dont worry it will only get better even when it gets hard, it always get better!

  • @bry1888

    WOW.

    Thank you.

MS doesn't stand a chance with the right attitude.

The power of the human spirit is so much more powerful than disease.

We just keep living, keep loving , keep TRYing.

The rest falls into place nicely.

    Like a jigsaw puzzle.

    Blessings brother.

    Mark

  • Great song, yes I'm afraid. Dxed MS 2003. God Bless

  • @banlindane

I was also diagnosed in 2003.

It was unclear at first if it was PPMS or RRMS.

I was very scared. I had a young daughter (I now have 2 young daughters 9 and 2).

We cannot control whether or not we have MS.

WE can control if we are going to let it ruin us or we can allow the test of our character to edify us and make us better people.

Make no mistake, we have more control than we think.

Pull close to God and watch HIm work.

    Blessings in Yeshua of Nazareth.,

    Mark

  • What a beautiful voice!!! I love the lyrics! Thank God for Irisbear76!!!

Whatever talent I have is what God gave to me.

I will remember to thank Him today because of your comment.

    Blessings,

    Mark

  • @SonjaSONGWRITER

    Thank you Sonja.

    A fellow songwriter?

Anyway, another songwriter's opinion hold a lot of weight with me.

    I appreciate your kindness,

    Blessings to you and yours,

    Mark

  • This was amazing. My grandma has MS and I was trying to find songs to put on a CD for something I'm doing in 2011. I loved this song it was so comforting. Thank you for posting it for everyone to see. May I have a copy of it?

  • @EveLTemptress8

As soon as I record it I will send you a copy.

I have written many songs for this album.

My bandmate is also writing songs in the theme.

We have only recorded a couple of songs.

    Shalom,

    Mark

  • Very touching. Ihave MS, my younger sister has it and as if that's not enough a year in a half ago opur 20 year old daughter was diagnosed.. So you canm imagine the discussion we have about CCSVI.

So happy things have worked out well for you.

On top of this - I have been on Tysabri for almost 2 years and my neurologist thinks I should go off because of pml!!!! My head is spinning - always feel better when I check in with you and see how well you're doing.

    Big hugs, Taylor

  • @KSTdancer

Every once in awhile. I read a comment that fills my heart with love and makes my eyes water.

DING DING DING. You won the prize.

    Thank you, Taylor.

Keep using the "H" word and truly feeling that hope. (Oops I said the H word!)

    Blessings,

    mark

  • Great job, the chords and your voice are great!

  • @pgfracing

I will never be quite comfortable with my voice.

If someone ever compliments me I act like I cannot hear them.

I am proud of my guitar playing though. MS has affected it slightly but I am proud of what I can accomplish.

    Because I TRIED. :)

  • Thank you.

  • @tribtribs

Thank YOU for listening and commenting.

SOme people miss the message of hope in this song.

They hear all the bitching but they miss the point in the song.

If you are tryin' you ain't crippled. Although the fear is there, love wins out in the end.

The narrator (me) is trying to say. I am afraid to be let down, but for those he loves he will TRY, TRY, TRY!!!

  • SOO HAPPY FOR OUR IRSH BEAR76!!!!! Mark, Thank you, xoxoxox Violet Theresa

  • @violetmatthers

    Glad you like the song.

  • this song hit home for me...those of us who suffer with MS can relate so ver well. Thank you!

  • @imabigbratt

Thank you. That is the best thing in the world to hear as a songwriter. "I related to you song so well" or "this song hit home". You said both in one little comment.

I thank YOU. (My ego thanks you as well).

    M

  • So beautiful *TEARS* just had 10 day hospital stay :( wondering if it will ever end???

  • @violetmatthers

You are stronger than you will ever give yourself credit for.

You are a dear person and I pray that you can be liberated soon.

I had the liberation procedure yesterday, and I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

    God bless,

    Mark

  • Bob Dylan-esque quality to your voice // terrific song--you WROTE this?? Amazing!

    Mark

  • you have a nice voice;)

and you can play very well

  • @liskeylis

Thank you for the kind remarks :)

  • Very good song. I saved it to my favorites.

  • @Hollyelvis

Is your screen name a reference to Charles Hardin Holley (Buddy Holly)?

He was a huge influence on me musically as a young man. Then The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Black Crowes, Radiohead and Muse.

Anyway thanks for commenting and favoriting.

    Mark

  • absolutely brilliant Mark, really touching, honest song, you have a lovely voice too

    keep on keeping on mate

    Mel x

  • @harveysmummy

Thank you for the kind words. I am inspired by a mother and son talking to the world. (I am a father and your video touched my heart,)

If this song is half as inspiring as Harvey and you, then it is exceptional :)

    Take care

    Mark

  • WOW, that is a beautiful song!!

  • Thanks. This song basically wrote itself. It is about a conversation with my wife when I was down and worried about the future. I said

"Angela i am not a stupid person. I know where this disease is going and it scares the hell out of me. You are in denial if you believe otherwise"

She said "You aren't stupid but smart people know they sometimes have to delude themselves so they can carry on."

This song was born from that conversation, my desire to try, and my decision to hope instead of fear

  • Mark, that is beautiful!!

  • Thanks.

  • Wow what a great guitar playing Mark :)

Lovely song But I think a "SAD" song shouldnt come with CCSVI news dear

    Good luck Mark :)

    Mody :)

  • Mody,

Not too sad of a song. The central message is HOPE.

No matter how afraid we are, how sad we get, what MS takes away from us. So long as we keep our WILL to KEEP PUSHING FORWARD and trying.....

    We are good.

    Warmest regards.

    Mark

p.s. I wrote this song almost a year before I had heard of CCSVI. I have even more hope now!!!!!

  • Know what you mean about the fear! Good song and nice guitar. Have watched your other posts on CCSVI. Just written to my neurologist today, fingers crossed he will refer me for a scan though haven't heard of it happening here in UK YET. Couldnt believe my ears when you mentioned the analogy with plane crashes as I had just written down the VERY same thing about a minute beforehand! Spooky! All the very best to you. xx

  • Synchronicity?

I am hoping that you can get the procedure. I have some friends in the UK like Omario (omexmc80) who are working at getting CCSVI awareness out there across the pond.

    Blessings.

    Mark

  • this song is perfect and so touching!!!

i m 22 and i have ms from my 16....all people should stand and fight...eventually all of us will achieve the victory!!!

  • Amen!!

    Keep fighting. Keep TRYing.

That is the message of this song.

Blessings and YES we will see victory.

  • fantastic song, great voice too :)

  • Thank you. I appreciate you taking the 6 minutes plus to listen.!!!

I just realized how freaking long this song is.

  • im like crying..my dad has MS and i am 12 and parent divorsed from and im reaally sad wonderful vice and song though! =(

  • Times can seem very hard. Especially when you are 12. I know that you are sad now, but the days get a lot easier;. Be a kid. Enjoy life. The best thing for your parents is to be there for them. Your dad is probably SO PROUD to have such a thoughtful and kind daughter. This will make his MS much less of a problem. My daughters keep me strong. Keep your head up and be there for your parents. You can reduce stress in your dad's life with kisses on the cheek. It is a medical fact. hugs
  • @irishbear76 yes but that is really hard to do now =( Because my mom and sister + dog we live in sweden and my dad moved back to home town =( And im so deppressd and going crazy because i want to live in america and the M.S makes me even more deppressed sometimes i actually wish i would die =( I know it sounds bad but its true ='(

  • @therealjessiica p.s home town is USA =(

  • @therealjessiica

Have you told your mom that is how you feel? I am VERY experienced with being depressed. It did not get better until I went to a therapist and poured my heart out to him. He helped me fall in love with life again. Talk to your folks and let them know how you feel.

  • Awesome Mark!!!! A great listen for a Sunday morning, Not only do we have MS but we have some great talent too.

  • Well done, you made my day! Thank you so much

  • UR welcome.

  • awesome! luv it! Heh, i always find a song on utube to listen to while i do my injections - so.. thx for helping me through another one of these damn shots with ur music :)

  • @dragas777

    No problem.

Music soothes the savage beast and makes those dreadful shots less intolerable.

    Take care.

    Mark

  • Love the song Mark, all of us MS'ers can relate, plenty of depression involved with this disease, with all the losses, can only remind you, what you already know, Jesus Christ said there would be hard times, but also that He will be with you the whole way through,,,,God Bless you

  • Jesus is the only reason I can go on sometimes.

I feel my entire life He was preparing me for this and has made me stronger for it.

Thank you for your edifying and true and kind remarks.

    Mark

  • That is a beautiful song. You are an inspiration. Thank you. Remember you are not alone and we are all ONE. Peace Love Happiness

  • @MillionsStrong4MS

I WOULD TOO. My bandmate is being a little lazy as of late. LOL

Nah, I got a lot on my plate with the NACCSVIS idea and music will have to wait; howeve, i could sell professionally recorded versions as a fundraiser possibly.

    God bless,

    Mark

    Thanks for the visit.

    Mark

  • thank you!! i had ms since 2006 :)

  • You are welcome.

I started playing the guitar one day. I had a lot of thoughts swirling around about my MS, my life, my journey and this song came out

I think this song resonates with everyone who has MS; therefore, it is my gift to US.

  • Oh my goodness!! I was reading an old blog I wrote about my mama one day and was like "Hmm I wonder if there are any songs about M.S.?" I never ever thought I would find your amazing song! Thought I'd find some generic song! My mom has had M.S. for almost 10 years & in the last 2 yrs she's went from walking to not really being able to get into her powerchair. I see her struggle everday. And I will say your song brought a tear! So very talented! Keep it up! Once again God Bless U & Ur family!!

  • I appreciate the nice things you said about the song.

I am sorry to hear that your mother is struggling.

I think it is wonderful that you are there for her.

I wish you and your mother all of God's blessings.

    Mark

  • Thank U for taking the time to make this video. I also have this ugly illness MS. I did my shot of Copaxone while watching your video. I asked U to be my friend and also subbed to U so I wouldn't lose U.

    Take Care of U.

    Sue

  • Thanks for subbing and for the invite.

MS is hard but it doesn't have to RUIN us.

    Take care.

  • I do not have MS, but nonetheless I was drawn to you're video.

You have a nice voice and I think the song is very well done. I'm sorry that you have to live with that condition... life really throws us curve balls, to say the least.

Take care man, all the best.. stay well.

  • Thank you.

    I appreciate your comments.

  • I am speechless. From someone with progressive MS, I thank you so...

  • Thank you for watching my video.

This song is no longer mine.

I have given it to ANYONE with multiple sclerosis (or any chronic illness for that matter)

    God bless.

  • Brother, that is seriously beautiful! Thanks so much for this. I needed that. It is great to know you. You have been favorited! Love and blessings to you and your family. Robinson.

  • Thank you so much for your nice comments.

  • Thanks.

I appreciate you adding it to your list.

the song is not mine anymore it is for you guys.

    Slainte.

    Mark.

  • Dear Mark,

this is the most touching and incredible song that I have ever heard! I don't think I can find the right words to tell you what I felt inside of me when I heard the song you wrote. I am speechless because there are no words that can explain what someone feels listening to what your heart, your mind and your soul created while you have to live with Multiple Sclerosis.

I am deeply touched, my dear friend.

Thank you for sharing this with all of us.

    Please, take care,

    hugs

    Angela

  • Angela,

Thank you for your kind remarks.

I am glad that the song sings to your heart.

You are a dear friend whom I love very much.

    Ciao,

    Mark

  • I put your song in my favorite videos group because I want to be able to listen to it over and over and because I felt that it deserved to be there with another of the videos that you made some time ago.

I hope you are feeling well and that you are having a nice day,

    baci

    Angela

  • All is well.

    Thanks for favoriting.

    Have a great weekend!!

    Mark

  • i love your song and i can relate. They can't believe i got it so young, it changed my life. nice song..seriously

  • Thank you for the nice comment..

I was probably a couple of years older than you when I felt my first symptoms

    (19) but I did not get diagnosed with MS until I was 28.

You have gotten MS at the right time as far as disease modifying drugs. They are addressing your MS at a young age and I think that bodes well for your future.

The key with the newer meds is starting them early and early diagnosis.

    Always stay positive. LAUGH ALOT.

BE A KID. SLOW DOWN. AVOID STRESS.

    attitude of gratitude

  • Mark, I want to thank you for sending me your song :) I hope you don't mind but I have made it "my song" I Love your video's so very much, and they make me feel welcome, and mostly understood . God Bless you and your Family :)
