@realtwinsai After the movie came out the techno band "The Immortals" Came out with a 10 song album called Mortal Kombat the Album. I know because way way back in the day I had this album on cassette. the good ole days. The Liu Kang Song was the best song to me.

The "shadow kick" fatality was the edited, toned down version he had for the Super Nintendo iteration of Mortal Kombat part 1. Nintendo wasn't allowing blood or dismemberment into the game so they had to come up with something for Cage's fatality. Don't worry, a fan such as myself wouldn't consider that to be anything important.
