Parson Russell Terriers are CKC/AKC registered dogs. Jack Russell Terriers are not but instead can be registered by the Jack Russell Terrier Clubs.

It's one or the other; there is no such thing as a Parson Jack Russell.

Just so ya know. (I own Jack Russell Terriers registered with the Jack Russell Terrier Club and the Parson Russell Terrier breeders made that quite clear to me when I wanted to buy one for our breeding program...nada...no can do!)

PRTs are the best dogs. They are so loving and loyal. But im warning you they are extremely energetic and need lots of exercise, they are also very inquisitive and love sniffing everything. But I wouldnt my PRT it for the world, hes such a great dog. PRTs are taller than standard JRT, and I think they look a little better aswell. For me, the best dogs are PRTs and JRTs, so get one!

i'm pretty sure they normally sleep on there sides but whenver they stretch, they stretch on their backand find they are comfortable enough on their backs to carry on sleeping.
