  • @RikkyC um i kno this commercial was old but they actually said thanks for the food as they left :P

  • @animeizmylife no they didn't C:

    they said "itekimasuーいてきます" not "itedakimasuーいてだくます"

I'l be going now, compaired to the term usually translated as 'thank you for the food'

Itekimasu is a version of Ikimasu meaning 'To Go'

Watashi Wa Gakkou Ni Ikimasu- 私は学校にいきます。 'I go to school'

but itekimasu is used commonly to say politely when you leave a place, to tell your family you are leaveing,

    i hope this helps :D

  • @haleliwil shouldn't it mean like this?

Watashi wa gakkou e ikimasu. 私は学校へいきます。

Your sentence would mean to me "I go in the school."

に (ni) is used when you are at a place.

へ (e / he) is used if you are heading (going) to somewhere.

  • @myhonor9 Oh wow, we haven't learned that yet. (i've only been learning japanese for 1.5 years) the only time we have ever used he in class is when we were studying letters(mail) they said "Merii-chan he" at the start, Sensei said he was used for our 'from' so it was 'From Mary' ....

    I'l ask my sensei next week in class >~<;

  • @Kezzychan ok, ask your teacher for it. he is used for directions.

    I know other examples.

Lisa wa doko e ikimashita ka? リーサはどこへいきましたか?

Lisa wa doko ni desu ka? リーサはどこにですか?

Simple questions used in the daily life. But I don't know if I wrote Lisa in Katakana correctly.

  • @myhonor9 You can also say 学校(に)行きます In some cases に And へ are interchangable. To say you are going in the school or entering the school you'd be suing the verb 入る (はいる)

  • love the end its like NEW
