I see you THINK you have your facts straight, but you are not thinking of dogs the right way. The UKC and ADBA and any other organization for that matter establishes guidelines for how THEY think the breed should look. All dogs are mutts, bred together to get certain desirable traits which once achieved, are stamped purebred by some CLUB in the late 1800's and then they can say what is and isn't purebred? Please,..go watch NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC DVD on EVOLUTION OF DOG BREEDING, and then talk 2 me.

I would love to tell Boudreaux that. His dogs and all others are bred from different dogs and once a look or function (workdogs) was achieved, they stopped breeding. Then the dogs got bred to similiar dogs with the same traits and after awhile someone wants to register the dog as 'purebred' because it was fashionable to have a PURE dog in Europe at the turn of the Century(Industrial Age), and you can register a mutt with mutt papers but that doesn't make them a purebred its just a purebred mutt.
