Have you been paying attention to the pattern? Sinnoh was a completely new region and they ended up making a Johto remake. Samething with Hoenn and Kanto. I doubt GameFreak will disappoint their fans. A hoenn remake is speculated to be released in fall 2012 seeing that it will be the 10th anniversary of Ruby/Sapphire, or most likely an emerald remake after 2013.

Just because you dislike the region doesnt mean that there isnt going to be a remake of it.

@1CHMAGTORT3: No, Red wasn't in Ruby/Sapphire. You could only get the Eon Pass from a Nintendo event which is no longer available. To get to the island where Latias/Latios is (depending on which version you got the Eon Pass on), go to Lilycove City after you've beaten the Elite Four and Steven Stone, and you'll automatically be taken to the island when you talk to the woman in front of the ferry.
