@homelesswithahouse I don't know, I've only ever used this one. I know that HD capture devices exist, so qualitywise this definitely is not the best.

Uncompressed video takes a lot of space, so you have to compress it.

Hey, i've got color and everything but the yellow cable recieves nothing (It should be the soundright for that cable?) I'm not sure howto get the sound onto my virtual dub or out the TV (I have my TV working but for some reason in black white.. Maybe cause it's HD not sure.)

I have no idea if this would matter, but which cables are you using out of the Wii itself? The composite ones that come with, or other ones?

Ah nevermind! I decided to search, and I found out a little trick which brings the colors to virtual dub just that it turns black when i record sing virtual dub but will it matter if I use camtasia 6?

I don't know if it;s possible to record from a Gamebridge via Camtasia, but if it's possible then I don't see why not.

I'd have to guess that you're working your computer too hard while you're trying to record. Try closing other programs and reducing the capture resolution.

Dang, I was hoping you could give some advice on recording commentary. My Dazzle software won't support live microphone recording while the video is recording and because the guys that made it are asses, only there program can decrypt the audio coming from their capture device.

I think Chuggaa uses a Dazzle, you might try asking him.

I record commentary with a completely separate program from the video and game audio, I'm not sure if that's what you're trying. For me, Vdub gets the video and game audio, and I have Audacity record my microphone.

Datai how come those black bars show up on camcorders when u aim it at a tv

It's something about the refresh rate of the TV. The images are replaces quickly enough for our eyes not to notice, but the shutter speed of the camera aligns so that it sees large empty areas.

There are HD devices that work similarly, but I don't know the names. Sorry.

PSPs will do this, but I think you need to buy the AV cables separately for them.

I have Dazzle, It works fine... but you need to make sure you get the Studio Edition. The standard comes with a program that won't let you do anything buy bun directly to a disk.

It's odd, but it really won't let you.

Well you have the Dazzle itself, you also need a double-ended Male cord splitter. You plug one side of it into the Dazzle, and the other into the TV, the output. Then you put the Consoles plugs normally. You then plug the Dazzle in the computer via USB. Hooray, takes 5 seconds.

Pinnacle works the best with the Dazzle, you can record in a variety of ways, AVI just takes up a lot of space and it takes too long to upload.

That really isn't any simpler. Or harder, for that matter.

Doing it that way does make me worry about input lag, since the AVs go through a device before the TV rather than straight to it.

I record commentary with a headset, separate from Game Audio. I mix them in post-production.
