punk + reggae = ska? Wow, complete ignorance. Do some research, especially if you're interviewing a legend (even though he's beyond gone at this point).
It's a shame HR doesn't give props to Linval Thompson and the other JA artists that influenced the reggae side of the band.
H.R. was a profound influence for the mixing of reggae roots with punk as he also was with the band.
However...
Lest we not forget that his so called "unity for everyone in the world" is not an entirely veracious statement. He has made several homophobic remarks in regards to some of the bands he toured with.
To me, personally, he is just another hypocritical homophobic asshole.
