What advise do you have for throwing like this from a distance of about 30 feet or better. I throw with sports throwers and I need to make them look stupid. Is the hand position as important as I think it is at that distance?

Palm it so theres barely any spin... Like being able to hit it almost flat against a nearby wall, then once the spin is meager, go for distance. I've sucessfully thrown it personally from like 40 ft away... You have to master either spin or no spin for distance throws... I cant spin, it does'nt ever work for me...

Ya got great skills bro. All I can't understand with these things is, HOW can you get it to point straight at the mark from any distance? You're actually able to throw them straight with the nails not spinning or do you have to calculate how to throw them so they'll spin into the right position? (Bet it's the second one, but still would be good to know. :p)

It's called no-spin technique... The core of it is to not let it spin more than 90 degrees, the key to distence is learning how to control the little spin there is during your throw...

Depends on your throwing style, wheather you spin or not, if so, yeah get double tip, one draw back to that though is you cant use it as a non lethal weapon to just crack ribs...

The ultimate technique to practice is to be able to do the same thing without having to see what you're hitting...as well as having accuracy while moving at a slow, medium, and fast pace.

Meditate on the image of your target and then close your eyes and hit exactly what you're seeing in your mind.

I learned that from ChosonNinja a Korean "ninja" who is VERY good.

Points: 1, great vid! 2, what does "nivenheim" mean by "throwing with the light end...holding it too close to the point (light end?) 3, for fun, try Exacto blades. These disposable razors are used by artists & hobbyists. They usually go into a pencil-type holder for use. Make just small set of fins on the back with masking tape, 1/4" wide per fin. A SLIGHT toss will make these guys sail, accurately & FAR, especially given the extremely light weight. ("Art-fu." Hey, artists get bored, too ;-)
