What I "loved" about WAMI was they would take time out of the day to just set up a camera on South Beach and show people walking up and down A1A while they played old radio shows from the 1930s!

One show I remember was an episode of "Superman" where Perry White was talking about criminals getting off and him saying that the current German govt. (Nazis) knew what they were doing on that point!

I started listening to Neil when he did cross-overs with his late friend, Bill Calder....through going to days, to Zeta 4. Was very worried when he said he was going to QAM. It's an abortion what that management is doing to this historic station (what all management is doing to radio)

I'm 29. When I was a geeky pre-teen living down in South Miami, I used to run home from school to listen to the very last portion of Neil Rogers and the full 3 (or was it 2?) hours of Phil Hendrie.

I'm now a writer in NYC. I feel a great debt to both Rogers and Hendrie. They work in such a maligned medium. I wish their genius and tireless creativity was better appreciated. They're both consummate entertainers.

WAMI was a tv channel that was in Miami only, years ago. They put the Neil Rogers show on, kind of like they use to do with Howard Stern. WAMI was a tv channel, & WQAM is a radio channel
