Julia is beautiful, and she has to be a really nice person because she didn't smack that interviewer for constantly interrupting her. It was like the woman had 60 questions to ask in 5 minutes, and she insisted on getting them all in without listening to any of the answers. Very distracting.

I absolutely love Lark Rise to Candleford and think Julia Sawalha is an excellent actress, but unfortunately she is wrong about the series being filmed in Somerset. Perhaps some scenes were filmed there, but a lot of filming took place in and around the villages of Gloucestershire, including my own. My mother was out walking one day and bumped into the cast who were about to film a scene....such a shame I missed it! It's lovely to see the beautiful countryside where I grew up in the background.

She must live in northern-most Somerset, and doesn't realize she's crossed the county line going north towards Gloucestershire? Indoor sets are in Gloucestershire (Yate and Tetbury); outdoor Candleford and Lark Rise are facade sets (scaffolding, etc.) a mile apart in Corsham, Wiltshire (if you walk "in" to the sister's dress shop, you'd find cows or sheep). Candleford House is the Chavenage House (also in Gloucestershire) for both indoor and outdoor scenes. LUCKY YOU :) Beautiful country!

@gloucestershiregal1 Just an FYI - The exterior scenes for Sir Timothy's estate "Midwinter Manor" were filmed at Chavenage House nr Tetbury in Gloucestershire. But all exterior scenes for the hamlet of "Lark Rise" & the town "Candleford," were filmed on created sets @ Hatt Farm & @t Neston Park nr Corsham in Wiltshire. All of the interior scenes were filmed in a in a warehouse @ Beeches Industrial Estate, in Yate, South Gloucestershire. Somerset is about 60 miles in either direction.

I just found Larkrise to Candleford and I can't get enough of it. I can't find it on my BBC network in US. I have been watching on Youtube and now am at the end of season 3 and only see 2 episodes of season 4. Is there more finished?  I just love the characters and the story. Thank you Youtube.

She is beautiful. It's funny to see her wearing normal clothes and to hear her real voice because it's a bit different from Dorcas's voice. She is so right the way she describs her show,it's top quality
