Fumbling with her own phone, to what, find the end button? The plane was still in the air right? I've had a family member who got into an altercation with a man who has killed people, and because she was defending herself, while afraid, she asked me to stay on the phone and listen as she put her phone into her pocket. When you don't know what's going to happen to you, you want some kind of witness to speak for you. Since the phones "worked" on the plane, no one thought to do that.

The flight crew were probably all supporting each other to keep from going into a panic. You really need to put yourself aside during a crisis. After the action is over, it is okay to have the shakes or to break down crying over a tragedy witnessed and to worry about your own significant others. Like alerting the crew that they're gonna have to take the plane down for national security. Imagine you're in a plane that's been hijacked by 3 douches with small knives and you have dozens of fellow passengers... First thing you do is jump the douches like everyone else... to the risk of maybe getting small stabbing wounds instead of everyone dying in a crash!

This is pathetic. Cell phones DO work on airplanes. Look it up. She was being consoled by a fellow flight attendant in tight quarters - likely at the rear of the plane. And as happens in all crashes, thousands of personal effects were blown out without burning. If it was a covert operation, the most likely option would be to CRASH THE PLANE, moron. I've learned that CeeCee's drivers license was found intact (??!!) and that it was issued in '97. Only problem is... CeeCee didn't become Mrs. Lyles untill year 2000. Also, if this is a cellphone call, why does it sound like a a stationary phone being hung up? CeeCee used to be a cop, before she became a flight attendant.

Fumbling with her own phone, to what, find the end button? The plane was still in the air right? I've had a family member who got into an altercation with a man who has killed people, and because she was defending herself, while afraid, she asked me to stay on the phone and listen as she put her phone into her pocket. When you don't know what's going to happen to you, you want some kind of witness to speak for you. Since the phones "worked" on the plane, no one thought to do that.

IF 93 was shoot down you would have the large chunks of aircraft you speak of, and bodies spread over miles and miles of land as in Lockerbie's 82 mile debris field. 93 hit the ground INTACT/ONE PIECE 40-45 degrees at almost 600mph. At that speed and angle you are NOT going to find large chunks of anything. A missile strike is not going to obliterate an entire 757/767 its only going to damage it enough to bring it down.

@lcspies the reason the wreckage of the plane over lockerbie was spread over a much larger area was because it was at a higher altitude and blown up with a bomb on board the plane. all the fighter pilot had to do to 93 is put a cannon shell in each engine. the fuselage would not suffer the same catastrophic failure as the lockerbie plane.

Eyewitnesses saw 93 crash intact and no one saw a missile, no one saw 93 hit by a missile, no explosion in the air, and no missile debris found. All reports say 93 crashed into the ground intact. Yes it was ordered shot down, but crashed before that could happen. Sorry 93 was NOT shot down no proof, none, nada, zero.

The flight crew were probably all supporting each other to keep from going into a panic. You really need to put yourself aside during a crisis. After the action is over, it is okay to have the shakes or to break down crying over a tragedy witnessed and to worry about your own significant others. Just wait until you have made sure that people for whom you have some responsibility are safe. People who have served in the military or as fire fighters or cops can grasp this.

The military already decided the plane needed to be shot down, they had a small window to bring it down in a rural area and could not have known what was going on that moment in the plane. That's where the 3 min difference where the tape ends and the plane crashed comes to play. You can't use a cell phone on a plane. TRY; u can't do it! Only if the plane had an in board phone would she have been able to make the call. But apparently this plane did not have them. I think the plane was shot down and its possible that before it was they allowed certain people to make phone calls. Like alerting the crew that they're gonna have to take the plane down for national security. That raises the question to why the people on board wouldn't say that to their loved ones like who would be onboard to police them. That opens up another potential group of questions. Cell calls are possible that's been proven. The way her stuff is intact is a huge coincidence.

@kdj997 There is no debris up-range of the impact site. Not consistant with a shoot-down. The FDR shows all systems operable as the plane turns up-side-down and impacts the ground. The crater is a perfect imprint of an upside-down aircraft. This was controlled flight into terrain. Open and shut case. No need even for a re-assembly. NTSB only does that for crashes with an unknown cause.

Instead of worrying for the lives of the 40 some people that died on this flight, not to forget everybody else on that date, you look at how this might of been a coverup? Just because you hear "you did great" doesnt mean it was forced. I think somewhere in the call she said, "i dont know what to say", im sure everyone was beyond what you consider neverous, and people were comforting eachother. A bystander could have told her she did great, to comfort her and let her message was thoughtful.

I can imagine a non-nefarious reason for this comment at the end. If this woman was anxious about leaving a horrid, crying, fearful, emotional message to be the last thing her loved ones hear from her, she may have been consoled by another passenger. And this would most likely be a female to act like that, comforting. Then after the call this good samaritan would assure her she did a good job, as Ceecee breaks down in tears. Either that or it was an FBI agent with a gun to her head.
