as much as i agree that gettin surface piercings on ur arm with a hoop is a bad idea, i am pretty sure this is a corset piercing, which generally arn't pierced for long terms, once she threads the ribbon thru and has her fun with it, im sure she'll be taking it out before it starts to reject or leave any drastic scars, she did do it to deal with a break up, we're all different, if thats how she wants to deal with it, thats her issue, not ours

if you do it yourself maybe? i've had snake bite piercings 2 times so the second time over scar tissue, and had both my nostrils pierced. i also used to have my ears stretched to a half inch, let them grow back to normal (took 2 months) and just kept regular 16 guage ear rings in. i've been around tattoos and piercings in tattoo parlors my whole life. cheers.

get the scar tissue removed, or the actual piercing once it forms to the skin? if you get a piercing done right, and take proper care of it, and don't do something dumb like hit it off anything too hard constantly and irritate it or play with it too much, the skin will heal back to normal. some people with thinner skin MIGHT have the smallest mark left behind, but if it's done on your wrist or neck, it won't look repulsive, and mess your life up or anything like a bullet wound that's healed up.

Personally, I say all the power to you if you're exploring mods as a way of coping.

However, I agree with previous comments. The piercer should have been more responsible. This will almost definitely reject. The piercings are exposed to way to much trauma on the arms. You'll end up with huge amounts of scaring, especially since they were done with CBRs. You should have used jewelry more suited to the area.
