An excellent speaker with information we can all use to better our lives. And, too much emphasis on Iphone. Japan has been the leader in phone technology forever and iphone sucks compared to what Japan can do with phones. Also, I refuse to support any phone that does not allow me to take the battery out of my phone, so should you if you are smart.

@dinogrower I understand, it's tiring always hearing about the iPhone, but they've revolutionized the market many times so it's very hard to ignore them especially since they were the cause of this whole wave of touch screen phones. This idea about using skype with wifi on a mobile device already works with Ipod Touch and Iphone using a program called FRING. All you need is a WIFI spot, and a microphone. There are several other programs that work much the same way as well.

I have been using internet telephony for the past 3 years i am at uni here in the uk. I use a software (Betamax) that lets me call free on landlines and mobile phone from my computer.On my computer i connected a normal lanline wireless phone (£10) by using a converter that turns the phone plug into a usb.Also on my mobile phone i installed this software (using Fring)and call for free whenever i get wifi.And if I don't get wifi i installed skype that tel company 3 lets its users use it for free

Yeah, you're right. Not only is he talking boring stuff - he's also trying to be an entertainer, and he definitely is not. One of the worst Ted Talks. And one of the worst things you can do on a speech is not be funny and hysterically laugh nonetheless.

I think it's rather entertaining. As much as technology is serious and there's much more detail to be said. He creates the subject, explains it, throws in the opinion and makes it entertaining. I've been using GrandCentral for years and the funny thing is that they used to do that thing where they call u, in case u have to get away from annoying date, and all kinds of other stuff.

Now google finally got google.voice working, and I don't think that feature made it thru. But they added the voicemail transcript where they email/txt u ur voicemsgs, though it's still not very precise. Hopefully one place, maybe Google, will combine all the useful features & make it work seamlessly.
