  • I think than the film is awesome but I do not understand to the earthlings! They continue being violents with respect to their way of life so advanced in the future! That is contradictory with the time than They are living! That means than simply they have not surpassed their beastliness and primitivism! The work of vulcans is incomplete! That is illogical as would say the good spock! I understand than in a sci-fi film exist the action but THAT?!?! Anyway 5-stars*****by your trailer!

  • i would so do what he did when he was a kid!!!

  • it is definetley worth seeing

  • man the film is a true tribute to the original actors

  • i would...it is awesome...my husband loved the originals and he is a trekkie, but he really loved this movie

  • It's SO good! Sure it's not the same, but it's different in a great way. The special effects are amazing, and I think it's definetly worth anyone's time.

  • I felt the same, but trust me, its right they've embodied the very soul of star trek, i was amazed, my sister and brother where amazed, my parents where amazed, my grandparents where amazed

    In short, its good.

  • Nimoy is in it

  • yes it is worth seeing

  • As a long time trekkie ( 30 yrs+) I am somewhat confused by this movie and would welcome comments from fellow trekkies. Does this new timeline change mean that everything that we have seen in TOS, TNG, DS9 etc has been undone/ changed? Will we ever see a new embarkment of TNG with a different crew as a result of this timeline change?

  • That's the beauty of time travel and alternate universes...the Trek we all have enjoyed for the past 40+ years still exists...in an alternate time line as now, Nero has altered "our" time line by showing up....an interesting conundrum that rejuvenates the Trek franchise, yet allows the original time line version continue on....a true Trekker understands what has happened and can enjoy both...I cannot wait to see the next Trek movie...awesome job Mr Abrams.

  • hmm seems kinda weak...Ok but if we follow what you have mentioned, dont the other movies /episodes where time travel occurred also face the same conundrum? I would also appreciate been amicable in response, a true trekkie would be helpful not condescending.

  • Just saw it. Great movie. I was 8 years old when I first saw Captain Kirk. Good to see a movie my son and his son will continue to enjoy.

As for the Federation, will they pay my mortgage and gas bill, too? Oh, how I hope so. My food stamps are running low this month.

  • I always loved the Vulcans since I was little.

I'm glad Leonard will be in this one.

I cant wait to see this movie. I always watched Star Trek re-runs with my parents when I was a really little. My parents said the Theme for the original Star trek Made me cry when I was a baby. My whole family wont let me live that one down. LOL!

  • how about getting that audio in sync

  • Actually, United Earth is the governement that existed when the Vulcans first discovered Earth. Now the Federation is the main government of the planets and systems alied with the Earth, Vulcans, Betazoids, Horta, etc. United Earth is a historical thing, an official hoodingy that means little now, and is meerly part of the United Federation of Planets government on Earth.

  • But Earth LEADS the UFP.

  • Because an Earth captain first came up with the idea. The Coalition of Planets originally was composed of Earth, Andoria, Vulcan, and Tellar. These are the four stars represented on the Federation flag.

  • Earth always leads. And the USA leads Earth. True, the capital city of the UFP is Paris, but that's to throw a bone to the French, to make them think they are still relevant. Things never change!

    PS: FRANCE - LMAO!

  • haha, thats not the vision Star trek created. After the USA and many other states collapsed in WW3 ther only was some coalitions, after the vulcans came, the Earth government was created. Erath is the headquarter of federation because the planet is between the first member homeworlds. Earth doesn't lead the federation! There are some federation presidents of different races in the series, but they all live in Paris because there is the federation parlament. In future many races lives on earth.

  • Isn't it San Francisco? Or is that just Starfleet Academy...?

  • Starfleet is in San Fran.

  • Actually, there were no major governments left when the Vulcans came to Earth. The Vulcans helped Earth form a unified planet by helping repair and restore Earth's ecosystem and by abolishing poverty and hunger. This later led to the Coalition and later the Federation.

  • But thats Star Trek, a liberal positive society in future, sometimes fighting for their dream to improve themself.

  • The whole point of the Federation and whatnot on earth is that of UNIFICATION. The UFP is an equal-opportunity interstellar benevolent organization paradaise-thing. The universe is still dangerous, but the point is that EARTH IS NO LONGER SEPERATED INTO COUNTRIES AND IS SOLEY DEFINED BY THE FACT THAT IT IS A DIFFERENT PLANET WITH DIFFERENTNATIVE CULTURE AND POSSIBLY SPECIES. GET THIS THROUGH YOUR HEADS< TREKKIES! Some trekkies already get this. You know who you are.

  • TNG is fine. I just got finished watching two hours of it. There's nothing wrong with it. Let's focus our hatred towards Enterprise, like all loyal Trekkies should.

  • TNG has like 3 good episodes out of how many?

99.9% of the TV episodes suck, with the exception of Voyager

TOS,TNG are too old fassioned and cheesy.

However, First Contact, and this film, are BRILLIANT.

  • You think that Voyager was good? That kinda killed any credibility your opinion had. Nothing beat Voyager when it came to inconsistent stories and poorly written characters. Voyager was the King of bad episodes and shitty characters.

  • I think there was some cool plots and epsiodes! But the character develeopment was so bad. Espeically after the depth of the characters in the previous series, Deep Space Nine.

  • voyager was a great series. janeway was not the best captain but her crew made up for her handicap. The doctor was hilarious and there was butt loads of action. This show was so good that celebrities requested cameos on the show. None of the other series can claim that. As a result voyager got their 8 seasons. enterprise lost me at series premier and I wasnt the only one who felt that way b/c it was cancelled.

  • No, I loved the fourth season of Enterprise. Any true TOS fan would've enjoyed it too.

DS9 is the crappy one everybody should hate. It's the one that started the Trek's landslide towards its grave.

  • But the USA LEADS the UFP.

  • oh man is ben cross in this movie? l love him and his voice woooooooooooooow

  • Absolutely 1 star for crappy ad and crappy quality. How annoying!

  • becuase of the ad and completely out of sync audio/video, 1 star for crap quality

  • After reading the comments I got my own.First of all Star Trek has been around much longer than Star Wars, which I also like both.Stng was NOT my favorite.the actors are ok but Jean Luke Picard was NOT as good a captain as Kirk. The motion pictures of the first gen were better that the next movies were. But that's my view.I am just looking forward to this one because it goes back to when the crew were younger.Oh,God bless our lost two crew members,Deforest Kelly and James Doohan

  • ya the a/v r out of sync. I am really looking forward to checking this "new" version of the franchise out! High Hopes!

  • has anyone else noticed that the auido and video are out of sync?

  • the United States does not exist in the twenty third centery. United Earth is the only govenment on Earth in Star Trek. Unless JJ screwed that up to.

  • I don't like the ad at the top of the vid....LAME

  • you know, you can turn annotations off?

  • oh god cloverfield monster is in the movie!!!!

  • I'll buy.

  • hahha

    LoL

  • Star Trek is always and has always been better. Come on 11 feature films to the six that Star Wars has. Five tv series to your zero, yes zero Star Wars Tv Series! Star Trek!

  • alright i have always loved star wars and i am kinda new to star trek. I hate to say it but star wars has better music, some amazing actors (harrison ford, alec guiness, ewan mcgregor, natalie portman, james earl jones) and lots of people like it because of its mythology, and connection to 'farmboys and dreamers'. but star trek has piccard who kicks ass, and a universe closer to ours. sometimes more isn't always better, i say why can't we like both.

  • star trek is better. I'm fed up with this jedi crap

  • Here Here!

  • Yes Star Wars is Bettar. LOL learn how to spell please! Star Trek all the way ese!

  • way to fuck up the audio

  • GAWD I HOPE THIS IS GOOD. JJ Abrams is a G so I thinks so. MI3 raawks!

  • Cant wait to see IT

    I have them all and

    this will be added :)

  • Can't wait for this! It's been nearly 20 years since Kirk and co. were on the big screen. Welcome back!!!:)

  • it's that.... SKYLAR?

  • woah it is its like and evil spok :P

  • SYLAR.

and yes, it's that crappy actor.

  • Yes i agree, by the way what the frack dose "it is its like and evil" mean? Who gave you permission to s*** on grammar?
