  • is that the same kid? did this take 5 years? just kidding.

love the vid. is this a geo? I got one with a blown motor wish I han an electric.

  • Where continued? And result?

  • You're an inspiration. Thanks! I'm inspired to convert one of my 2 vehicles... a 91 isuzu pickup or 70 vw fiberglass dune buggy. Both leak oil, the dune buggy also leaks gas and I'm tired of getting my fingers all nasty working on them. I'ld drive the buggy everyday but not exactly reliable. I think buggy would take less to convert as I imagine the buggy weighs less, but large back tires. What do you think? Great video

  • Great video

  • My bad 1:20 is where you muscle out the three banger out. It's 1:03 you spill the fuel and 1:13 you grind sparks.

  • Nice work.... just be a little more cautious with the gas spill and then a few minutes later you are grinding sparks into the spill. 1:20 ish

  • HAHAHA he scratch his ass at 2:26 :P

  • Damn, did ya'll see him lift the engine out like it was just nothing.

  • Yeah I would think a trunk would be a better choice for the bed would be a great place for the batteries

  • hey guys have you ever tryed to convert a 1.4 ton 4x4 truck to electric

  • this rules

  • Nice work man, I'm also diggin that song. What's it called?

  • That man moves FAST

  • Great video! Good luck with the conversion mate! Just watching it gives me "EV fever" again. I wanna convert another one.

  • lol @ cat

  • hay how are you making out with the car can i see

  • nice video

  • Opel GT from 1972

  • If you own one allready, go for it.

If you need somethign bigger, jeep cj5s weigh about 2200lbs.

  • cool that you have the kids in the video....and it shows them that daddy does spend the time with them...you could make a good living converting cars to electric...do you think and older car would work? I`m thinking about the weight of the car and how light it has to be to make the car move effortlessly

  • What is the older car? How heavy? If it is a Ford Model T, I'd say go for it. If it is a 57 Chevy, I'd say no.

  • @EVHguitarz Any car would "work", but every gram of weight decreases the rate at which your car uses up energy due to drag resistance and friction resistance, so the Less energy you spend on aceelerating a car to a certain speed, the more energy you have left over to cruise at that speed. Unless you have a fortune lying around which you don't mind spending on a tonn of batteries, and actually want a decent top speed, the lighter the better.

  • what camera/program did you use to make this time lapse? awesome project man

  • I have a Sony Handycam DCR-HC85. It has a time lapse function built in. It can take a still shot varying from every second to every 2 minutes. It then stitches them into a video on the fly.

I use Pinnacle for editing my videos.
