i am from England, i served in the army for nearly 10 years. i can relate to this song on a personal level. my patrol was ambushed in Belfast, i had 2 friends injured and li was lucky to be unscathed, im going back a number of years now, but i count myself lucky to be able to go and visit Belfast again if i like! seeing the rain again!!!

pink may well have had it rough growing up, by her definition, but it seems she made amends to a certain degree, which i am very happy to see. how special it must have been for her. i have been without my father now since '97, and even though we had our differences i miss him every day. not a man to show emotion so getting through the whole i love you thing was difficult. i know he knew but to this day i'm still not sure i do. to pink: love him, cherish him, he's the only one you'll ever have.

I love this performance. Pink's "Family Portrait" broke my heart so I was under the impression that she was no longer on good terms/ seeing her parents very much. If that was the case before, I'm glad they were able to mend faces and I'm glad they could collaborate like this and obviously she loves him so much (as seen in "Family Portrait," again.) Such a beautiful collaboration in both the meaning of the song and the context of their family. I think Pink is a really beautiful person in heart.
