i saw Blonde Redhead last night. The city provided the concert for free. Let me just say her voice is intact as in her recordings and the same goes for Simone. It was a dream come true.. :)

@thehushproject they seem to use alot of pre-recorded tracks along with their live playing. normally i dislike when bands do that....but i think it suits them perfectly. better than having a few other random musicians to fill out the sounds. ever since animal collective, playing samples live has lost the stigma it used to have. :) which is good....it broadens the musical potential when playing live considerably.

@bitemylip23 I saw them (again..) 2 weeks ago and I walked in feeling a bit sceptical as I'd been left a bit put off by listening to the new record and not liking it much. Then 2 songs in they played this and I don't know what happened..again.Time slowed down and the people around me disappeared. I am a music buff and I've been lucky enough to see almost all of my favourite bands but nothing can ever be compared to what these 3 do on stage when they get it right.It's a glimpse into the unknown.

I find that most of my favourite bands that I constantly listen to everyday are bands that when I first heard them I thought "This is a bit weird.", only to go back to them a year later and listen to them and go "Wow! I thought this was weird at first but holy shit now it's awesome.".
