in luxembourg is only one gt turbo 2, a friend pick me up to try this little monster, it was one of the best day of my life !!! it's not for novice driver this car is really dangerous in the bends !

blakeybblakey - im 19 and have had a 205 GTi for a year, cost £1200 first years insurance then £500 with 1yncb, thats not a lot. that is a 1.6 not a 1.9 but still. you'l struggle to find a decent example of either GTi or Turbo 2 unless you gonna spend a fair amount of money. love the turbo 2's for exclusivaty but would always go for the pug

But you cant compare a 1.6 205 gti and a renault 5 turbo 2... the 205's are readily available and T2's are rare and very expensive. a decent example will cost you well in excess of 10 grand. Not knoking 205's i love them too but, anybody thinking of getting a T2 will need a serious amount of spending money to run them.. thats before thinking about Insurance.

but the most important thing is the weight... incredibely light for this kind of car.

A GT turbo phase 1 has appx 115hp

A GT turbo phase 2 has appx 120hp

A Turbo 1 and Turbo 2 appx 170hp

For the confused, this has never been a GT Turbo.. the 5 Turbo (no GT!) left the factory just like this for Group B rallying.
