  • @ThisHolographicLife very possible I learned on flat

  • does anyone know what kinda helmet cowboy has on?

  • @godsomg I got a dervish too and that sure is one respect!

  • what wheels

  • @bobofatt100

    Bad ones....

  • i thought adam had a normal haircut for a second. then he took off his helmet.

  • Listen to them o-tangs chatter.. Freaking heinous.

  • @metallicagod1346 theyre green, so i dont know if they otangs. but deff not abec's

  • im afraid my board is just gonna go sideways, stop , and throw me off....

  • @Khryptos wear pads.

  • @Khryptos

It's all good, just hang your heels off the board, go fast, lean back and put your weight on your heels.

  • LY 925, paris 180, dano 76a. slideable?

  • @YelsniaMcG Slideable: yes! Difficult: SUPER YES! I'd invest in some harder and more rounded wheels like LY Hawgs.

  • heyyy um so anyone know of any videos on learning to do standups switch, i just cant seem to ride switch standups

  • i need help!!!!! i learned to do 180 heelside and toeside with my heels and toes hanging of the board, and now i have noticed that whenever im just carving im constantly stepping around with my feet, so i cannot connect my 180 properly how can i fix this?

  • Can you do these without hills?

  • @ThisHolographicLife I think so,

Just hills make it easier as you can get alot more speed going down a hill then on flat gorund.

  • Thanks alot man helped out so much

  • Man, Adam Coltons the shit. Watching this video brings me back to the good ole days with Adam & Adam

  • can moosedrop longboard slide? plz reply

  • any tips on switch standups anyone ?

  • Turn on transcribe audio form the little cc button. Then go to 0:19

"Dont be stupid to israel" Made me laugh :)

  • Need help should i choose a dervish or bahangra

  • Are orangatang 83a (purple) wheels good for sliding as well as the yellow (86a) ones?

  • @6FlukeArtist9 yes they are especially durians. but its best to learn slides with 80a 4prez

  • @nuj2d Why is it best to learn with 80a? :P I'm thinking of getting 88A grippins cuz i cant slide right now with my 78As lol

  • @jeebzPB

softer wheels (like 80a, 79a, 78a etc.) are really not meant for sliding, but for hard carving and grip instead. its kind of difficult to slide when using them. but if you practice with those wheels, you'll learn how to kick and to control.

  • @6FlukeArtist9 you can slide in either, but the 86a's will be easier to slide in :)

  • Sliding is all about speed that's why its so spooky to learn

  • lol loaded prototype speedboard aka dervish

  • @psythen44 they decided not to make a speedboard after dervish was finished

  • fucking always love louis and his quirky italian head movements <3

  • i feel like this is the sloopiest trick tip ever, specially in the beginning, no feet positioning and what not zz

  • @skyking166 I would agree with you, but there is one thing holding me back..... this isn't a trick tip.

  • @Johmeyful well it's a help, so i guess i will change my vocabulary to, this slide help isn't very helpful since it doesn't tell you enough. :D

  • wow that vanguard is drop through 2:41

  • @godsonOmg thats a dervish

  • @Mrandreaspeter i ride a dervish everyday i know the shape of a dervish from a mile a way thats a modded vanguard

  • @godsonOmg im 110% sure thats a dervish dude

  • @kxkurtis your right its the prototype im glad they made changes

  • can you still slide if your wheels have lip?

  • this is less of a turorial and more of you guys just showing off hahaha

  • i think i need a new deck but can someone help me...i keep getting wheel bite and its pissing me off i already have risers and i tighten my trucks to the max but everytime i try to slide my damn wheel keeps catching the board PLZ HELP!!!

  • @FIREFOX274 what board, trucks and wheels have you got? you might want to try getting some smaller wheels or carving some wheel wells into your deck

  • the new prototype loaded speedboards have just arrived. 4 years ago.....

  • @BullzEye14 vanguard.

  • Where's ur tan tien LOL.

  • LOADED SPEEDBOARD COOMIINGG!!!!!

  • @jpsallum this was made 4 years ago

  • @SpiritofBoulder so they MUST be coming son

  • he said yall. southern. yess

  • What are those wheels?

  • i have such trouble with getting full 180's front side, backside is easy. so i figured "hey loaded is always there for me!!" watched this video and right when you talked about how much weight over the back or front truck it just clicked. thank you so much. i can now do frontside. no more speed check fails!!

  • i just learned bs 180s the other day. way more fun than fs :)

  • 86a durian or stimulus for slides?

  • yellow stimulus 86a, randal 180, tan tien flex 1, good slide setup?

  • @jpsallum Get paris 180s and a dervish, Its longer and stiffer.

  • @SectorSun Thats what she said.

  • @jpsallum

Yeh good set up. flex 3 wuda been a bit better but yelow stims are great

  • @MCLongboarder yeah its cause im a little heavy for the flex 3

  • @jpsallum haha thats exactly what i have

  • @ziggsify hahaha perfect setup *-*

  • @jpsallum great

  • @jpsallum Ya

  • @jpsallum yellow stims, gullwing chargers and tan tien flex 3

  • @jpsallum If you want to just slide i recommend that you use a 9-10" old school deck with 98A abec 11 wheels and Indy trucks.

  • @WillSalesTV that setup has been ok for sliding, but i like to mostly do trick like shove its, tiger claws, flips and crusing so i think the tan tien is the right one for me =D

  • @jpsallum yes.

  • @jpsallum

replace those stimulus with some abec11 freerides and your good!

  • @jpsallum don't get stimulus, get metro motion wheels. They are much smoother during slides.

  • what kind of weels do you have?

  • @TheIndiesMellows like anything in skating it will always be 90% rider 10% board

  • @BoysNoizeWIN nah not for longboarding

  • Loaded prototype speed boards.

  • @AskMitchJackson no thats a dervish..

  • @colinprprpr I know man. I was just playing to see if anyone would freak out.

  • Weight can really affect your sliding. If your a 100 lbs, and try to slide on a flex 1 dervish, IT'S NOT GUNNA HAPPEN! (unless you got strong legs.) So go to FRIGGIN MCDONALDS! And order a fatass meal!

  • @eljaytomas123 lol, u must be stupid... sliding a flex 1 dervish with 100 pounds is just as easy as sliding a flex 2 dervish with 100 pounds..

  • @eljaytomas123 hahahahahaha. no. loosen your trucks if thats the case.

  • do your trucks effect how well you can slide ?

  • for the first trick should my trucks be pretty loose?

  • i have problems after doing the 180 powerslide regular and after it being goofy, i can't do a goofy(switch) 180 powerslide so i return to regular, any advice, tip or help ?

  • @Pandanonimo

    practice riding switch.

    a lot

go days on end only riding switch.

  • @Flaksism i need to do this too

  • dam adam c got some guns to put on a show.

  • sha-zam!

  • i got a 46 gravity longboard and i mostly just dance on it but i want to learn some slides, just wondering can you still do a slide on a 46in board?

  • what wheels and trucks should you use for sliding?

  • @homerman001 wheels with little or no lip at all like the orangatang free rides or like gravity drifters anything with a duro 80a or higher

trucks are not really too important but anything that are not 300 dollar trucks

  • and for sucking dick you homo.

  • fuck helmets

knee pads are so much more useful for learning slides.

  • @Flaksism You have one head and one set of knees, so you might as well wear both =)

  • ok any one have any advice. When ever i try to do a shuvit slide my board lands 2 far infront of me and my front foot only lands on the board and wen i try to put my back foot on the board shoots out from under me and i eat it. someone plz help me im sick of getting rapped by the pavement doing this trick

  • colton has got a vanguard sweeeet

  • I'm having a hard time switching from goofy stance to regular. Any advice?

  • @plint2000 just don't! i ride goofy as well and there's nothing wrong with it!

but in case you really want to be comfortable in both positions, try switching from goofy to regular after you've pumped by jumping, spinning, and landing on your board while its still moving or going down a hill. that way you learn balance before you try pumping.

  • @plint2000 uhhh ride more in goofy?

  • @plint2000 what helped me with switch slides was really focusing on my back foot (left foot) and telling it to come around.

  • @plint2000 there is nothing wrong with goofy!!!!

  • @BullzEye14 Yeah dude I love riding goofy I think I just worded my question wrong. I am getting better with stand up slides and riding switch.

  • @plint2000 i like to just cruise around goofy just to get a feel for it, the more time you spend practicing riding goofy the better you get, then you start to be able to do everything you can do in regular

  • @plint2000 hey man i just got that down. thrust your shoulders, i find thats key when switching back, also, gain some speed first

  • @slh11111

    ok Thanks man.

  • @plint2000go faster

  • @plint2000 lol its pretty much impossible to go regular to goofy i have been skating for so long and i still suck goofy

  • @plint2000 Do it alot more, force yourself to ride switch. you will learn.

  • @plint2000 learn to ride in both stances, im normally goofy but now i can ride in regular stance. it feels scary during the first time u try it but practicing it would make u master the regular stance. it took me approximately 3 days to master the regular stance and carving in regular stance :D

  • @plint2000 jump and spin

  • @plint2000 switch standup works really good for me

  • awsome video! you both are very good speakers, make more vids!

  • What kind of wheels was Adam running?

  • SPEAK UP!!

  • what are the wheels that louie is using?

  • i have a sector board with 65mm, 78a wheels. The board itself is still a basic beginners board, but no matter what i try, i cant slide without loosing control of the board. Is it the board, or do i need to take a different approach?

  • @bhickey2012 woa there man! 78a! no way that will slide! try to move up to some 86 84a's trust me! but good luck!

  • @thenewguy11111 you don't konw what you are talking about, plenty of 78 wheels will slide. maybe not is well but you can defintely slide them. i've done plenty of sliding on 78a gumballs. it has much more to do with the shape and thane of the wheel than the duro.

  • @merks91 yeah well its easyer to learn on harder wheels? Duh? if your having problems slidding get some harder wheels then try it? simple? there not going to make hard wheels that arent ment for sliding either so the wheels well be shapped good. your retarted.

  • @thenewguy11111 i hope english isn't your first language because you spelled almost every word wrong including, "retarded." i'm riding 80a cult classics which are way slidier than 86a durians. to say, there is "no way" this kid can slide 78a wheels is just bullshit. i learned to slide on 80a zigs, which if you know anything, are some of the grippiest wheels out there.

  • @merks91 HAHA! my bad i dont see how i spell on youtube fag! and good job! but it dosent seem like its working for this kid sooo???

  • @thenewguy11111 atleast you spelled fag right. well whatever you're doing clearly isn't working, after taking one look at your vids, you suck ass at longboarding!!

  • @merks91 haha! alright man whatever! i dont take longboarding competitivley haha oh and sorry im dyslexic! haha! i bet from all my other videos you can tell longboarding isnt my whole life soo?

  • u got gumballs? sounds like it....

  • What trucks are those?

  • "The new Loaded prototype speedboards have just arrived." This was over three years ago...I guess they've been testing them for a long time XD

  • you guys should update the sliding videos since now you guys use better equipment and such.

  • my favorite part of any slide trick is the urethane mark on the ground.

  • 76mm Diameter

    65mm Wide

    60mm contact patch

    Beveled outer lip

Is that why I cant slide? Wheels are made for traction?

  • @KCrenshaw09 Almost any wheel can slide my friend, sounds like you need more speed. Find a nice little hill, get some speed and pop a coleman.

  • @KCrenshaw09 Probably because you suck...You can slide any wheel. Beveled lip wheels hardly even need to br broken in.

  • @jontymcj Well Mr. Rude Guy that likes to reply to comments from a month ago, I had just got my first board when I made that comment. Also the wheels are made for traction. Look up Earthwing HGR Specials. Thanks for being a spontaneous jackass.

  • @KCrenshaw09 Yeah, sorry I'm being a douchebag. But there are sooooo many stupid questions on YouTube. It's even worse than Silverfish. Still...all wheels can slide. Just break them in, round the edges. Look at Orangatang InHeats - 75mm diameters, 80a, 56mm contact patch, NO BEVELLED LIP, they can still have buttery slides. If you're light like me, then I suggest getting driftier wheels if you're having trouble. Fav slidey wheels: Pink Powerballs, Stimulus, Venom Sidewinders, Gravity Drifters.

  • I wish I could be sponserd any tips for me ?

  • Yea!

  • very cool

  • what are the green wheels

  • @mrmonsterjude I think theyre abec 11 flywheels mate

  • anyone else see that nice corvette in the beginning....

  • Helmets useless unless you buckle it you dumb piece of shit, go suck your dad off.

  • @bushcraft93 it's buckled while he's skating..

  • the second guy looks like John Sheppard from Stargate Atlantis.

  • Can you slide with abec 11 gumballs? Abec 11 Gumballs-76mm/84a?

  • what are the shoes colt is wearing??

  • @08Fitguy im pretty sure they are vans

  • Would you say it's easier to do a sorta of jump to relieve weight of the board to slide, or to put extra weight on it by pushing on it to force the board to slide?

  • @Warkweh u wanna unweight the wheels then rotate your shoulders.

  • whats the difference in feel between 83a and 86a wheels?

  • i find it hard to slide i ride mongo

  • Sick slides boys!!

  • ive never slided b4 and want to get into it, how fast do u have to be going to initiate the first slide they showed?

  • @MrCcdrewdrew you can practice just going like 10-15km/h (~8mph), put your hands down and push the board, to make it slide a little, just a little squeak. Then try the same thing faster, with real sliding gloves and BOOM! :D ^^

  • is it just me, cause i find it really hard to slide riding goofy. im regular by the way. i need help :(

  • @smokey3322 practice. You gotta commit :P (spelling? :S) if you know how to slide regular, just do thge same thing backwards hahah :D

  • @smokey3322 think about rotating your shoulders more. the board will follow

  • i love my otang durians for sliding its like BUttahhh

  • which slide shuvit is easier front side or back side?

  • @DerekGustafson614 it matters how u like it. i prefer heelside (frontside) over toeside (backside) because toeside whips around faster (for me to fast) but it matters on the rider. how i learned is do a 180 and at the end jump for the shuvit but each try shuvit earlier and earlier till its truely a shuvit slide

  • @lzochiodo10 alright thanks for the advice

  • @DerekGustafson614 anytime

  • So in order to slide it reallly depends on the wheel?

  • what trucks are thoses?

  • wish i could do that, altho the roads in scotland r awful nd i know i'd get stuck and deck it :( lol

  • Could you give some advuce as regards wheel type. I have chunky soft wheels.

  • get some abec11 81a flashbacks, best inexpensive slide wheel, they're like 37 bucks

  • @etansey get orangatang freerides like yellow durians (86a 45mm contanct patch 75mm tall), or purple 83a/ yellow 86a stimulus (42mm contact patch 70mm tall)

  • which wheels would you recomend for sliding and going really fast?

  • look at the Otang inheats, or Duran. once the inheats are broken in they have a real nice slide

  • definately

  • great vid. cheers!

  • anybody got any tips for sliding back around when u are switch? or do u basically just have to b comfortable riding switch?

  • do a 360 slide or learn the slide switch too so u can do it right after u hit the first one

  • the speed board is apperently called the "black mamba" and isnt the dervish, infact, the dervish isnt even a speed board...at all.

    go read at silverfish

  • So do you need to be going at a decent fast speed for this to work? Or doesn't it make a difference?
