  • excuse me if i'm wrong, but arent you not supposed to OC in a government building?

  • thank you for flexing your rights and supporting your right to open carry and conceal carry your firearm everyone :)

  • his narration in the beginning is always so damn annoyingly gay!!!!!

  • i love Colorado's gun laws. open carry is legal in all counties except downtown denver, CC is legal everywhere. we have the "make my day law" which give home/land owners the right to kill aggressive trespassers and shields them from ALL civil lawsuits thereafter. with open carry, you can defend yourself (with lethal force if need be) anywhere you can open carry without fear of incarceration or civil lawsuits. and free legal shooting in all national forests.. great to be a coloradoan!

  • @eatmytool1 Unless you went to Colombine HS.

  • @sgtcrab1 ...what is that suppose to mean?

  • God bless the Castle Doctrine and it exist weather a State statutorily enumerates it or not... anywhere... anytime! It is also applicable against police who grossly exceed their authority and present a clear danger to you or others.

  • The Pheasant Lane Mall doesn't allow firearms or any weapons on its property, I couldn't get on open carry org to post a comment on their forum.

  • In GA the state law prohibits carrying a weapon of any king at any public gathering including a public meeting, a political rally, union meeting, sporting event, etc.

Its a felony to carry a gun into a public building.

    Crappy law.

  • @2204Alpha not here in colorado!

  • You will see this in Va. We carry for 'lobbyday' every year. 500-600 of us this year showed up, mostly armed. Freedom!!!!!!!!!

  • again this fool RIDLEY puts up some thing that might be ineresting but fails to explain it.

what is this law self protection going to do? how is it to work,?

  • I love Florida law on concealed carry. Only good thing about Florida.

  • We should also go to an open carry law. The visibility of the firearm has a greater deterrant effect and it also prevents any unnecessary contact with law enforcement because the presence of your firearm becomes known.

  • I like Vermont's better---carry open, or concealed, rifle or handgun, no permit, no license, no registration. Less than one page of gun laws at all(no schools, hunting laws--that's it).

  • I need to move there. concealed permits in Fl are expensive and a hassle.

  • lol come to GA its open carry all the time its legal

  • Looks like I need to move one state north! ;)

  • @mrmott44 Utah requires a permit to carry concealed, but once you have that you can carry on schools (they're required by law to let you). Vermont is pretty sweet though and I wouldn't mind constitutional carry.

  • Stars1861, most ppl don't just carry guns to feel safe. Most ppl carry to protect them and their love ones from threats that Boxing, MMA, Karate, Powerlifting and other self-defense training will not stop. The old saying is "You don't bring a knife to a gun fight". Think about the shootings that have happened over the years in public places, if most citizens were allowed to open carry, the number of victims would go down every time. Gun or Fist? Serving Jesus Christ is the ultimate weapon.

  • Why is it that gun people feel the need to carry a firearm everywhere? Is it some sort of personality quirk or are they truly scared?New Hampshire has what, 3 assaults a year? I really don't care , but I do find it quite odd.

  • They have a low crime rate B/C so many people carry.

  • Car people wear seat belts because driving is inherently dangerous-associating with people isn't (in my opinion). Where I live, Florida, every other person is packing heat and we have one of the highest violent crime rates in the country. Like I said, I couldn't care less if you carry a rocket launcher ,if that what it takes for you to feel safe- just don't equate a low crime rate with an armed populace.

  • Every other person in Florida isn't packing legally. So your example does not work. If half the population of Florida legally carried. The crime rate would be nearly the same as NH.

  • 520,000( and counting) permits issued or one for every 35 citizens. That, of course, doesn't include the yahoos who are either too unskilled to get a permit or too cheap to pay for one and still carry. I'd venture to say they're also in the hundreds of thousands. I DON'T CARE IF YOU CARRY A FIREARM IF THAT HELPS YOU FEEL SAFE, but an armed populace doesn't equate a low violent crime rate (at least in Fla),though it may eliminate some thugs. I'm all for that. No disrespect intended.

  • 1/35 is far different than every other person. And it does not make for an armed populace. I bet there are twice the number of criminals armed in FL. We all know your state ranks among the highest for crime because of lowlifes coming from all around to take advantage of the rich who live there and the rich tourists who also go there.

  • I realize that 520,000 doesn't equal 9,000,000. it was just an expression and not meant to be literal. I understand the need to feel safe- I'm in my 50's and power lift and box for the same reason. That's my edge. Rich? We have a below average per capita income . The rich get robbed by con-artists, not street thugs. Believe what you want on carrying and the crime rate-I've read some of the statistics and the argument doesn't add up,at least in Fla. or anywhere comparable. But it's all good.

  • That is not true

  • Why is it that car people always feel the need to wear seatbelts?

  • Because life is random, and events can be chaotic. You never know what's going to happen. It's not about being scared. It's about being prepared. Plus, people may just like carrying around a gun. As long as they're just using them in self-defense, why would you even have a concern with it?

An armed populace means that criminals are more likely to be to be scared of committing crimes, because they know the average Joe may be packing heat. In England, it's just the opposite.

  • I said I don't care one way or another about totin' a gun. I just find the mindset unusual. As far as an armed populace, I'd bet my bottom dollar that the violent crime rate is multiple times higher in my gun-lovin' state than it is in England. But hey, if you feel more secure packing a heater, knock yourself out.

  • Who had the liar sign? What a hoot... LOL :-)

  • It would be nice to be able to open carry into Federal "houses" too. I get the feeling that they just don't trust us, even though we own the buildings.

  • you can cary in a some other state houses. Off the top of my head I'm thinking of Virginia and Ohio oh and Pa.

  • Back in the early 1990's I went to several gun control measure meetings with the San Jose, California, city council and county, etc.

HUNDREDS of people showed up to speak against the measures, while those who showed up in favor were always few, and usually paid professional shills from out-of-town with pre-packaged stories of woe.

The city and county "officials" would hamstring the opposition by allowing only "equal time to opposing viewpoints".

  • Sounds like NH is trying to copy what we have in FL.

    Which is a good thing...
