  • damn that ust to b my time in the 300 hurdles my freshman year ima sophomore now

  • does anyone see similarity with young and bolt and rudisha, Tall black long legs long stride , no wonder theyre world record holders, its hard to beat great genetics.

  • @melglen1 lol I love how they are tall "black" legs

  • 400m hurdling is in a good place right now, Taylor still going strong and Clement and Jackson also capable of fast times, not to mention Dai Greene who is maybe the fastest-improving track athlete of the last year or so. No idea if any of them will beat this time but if they all make the World final this year it could be one of the best races of the entire championships.

  • racing this event has to be hell, no offense to the runners, it just seems so tiring O__O

  • @1201pinkfloydian1232 haha it is the exact definition of hell

  • Kevin Young may have broken the world record...but he did it by taking drugs. How else would you explain on his absence into oblivion after hitting such heights?? The same goes with Michael Johnson, Florence Griffith Joyner,Ben Johnson & Marion Jones. Florence Griffith died as a results of the after effects of too much drug use.

  • @acdc1408

I don't know about Young using Enhancing Drugs. I know when Edwin Moses was breaking the world record repeatedly in the late 70's and early 80's he perfected the 400m hurdles by going 13 steps between each hurdle. Young, who is 6'5 only need to go either 11 or 12 steps between hurdles. So if you take Moses approach, his fast time is 47.02, you take fewer steps, naturally you should be able to surpass Moses's time

  • @acdc1408

Yes the oblivion of winning World Champs next year! I think it can be hard to motivate yourself to keep training and competing after producing such a stunning performance at the Olympics.

If you what you were talking about you would know that putting Michael Johnson on a list of athletes who vanished from the scene after their most spectacular performances is grossly inaccurate.

Not saying either athlete was definitely clean just that you should get facts right before accusing.

  • @acdc1408 Most top athletes have a limited time at the top, the exceptions are just that exceptions.

  • @acdc1408 Most top athletes have a limited time at the top, the exceptions are just that exceptions. Carl Lewis, John Walker,Evelyn Ashford, Al Oerter are extraordinary because of their long competitive careers.

  • @dredandmrbears Colin Jackson as well, a 100m hurdles career that lasted and remained competitive for over a decade and a half.

  • and he hit a hurdle

  • @Bjob4thewin you slow down

  • Uhh, the record is 46.78, not 46.79!

  • yo i can neva do this its a very long n tireing race n i give my hat 2 these athletes

  • i wonder how he would have done in the regular 400m

  • Damn I can't even get 46 on a 400m, let alone the hurdles!!!

  • I am meeting kevin Young on saterday at the James Logan olympian clinic.!

  • Good point, you can't tar everybody with that accusation

  • Your right !!! I dont use to accuse without prof, I sayd in the worng way!!

    Shame on me lol!

  • Thats what I belive!!! But do you know how mutch cheating there is out there!?

  • y bajo su velozidad un poco

tal vez huviera tenido un tiempo mas rapido

  • ridiculously fast

  • It's 46.78, not 46.79.

  • Young kind of reminds me of Bolt or Juanterena, his huge stride just eating up the track. I reckon his time is worth close to 44.0 for the 400 flat, so really there's noone going to challenge it in the near future.

  • @ghai38 I'm speculating of course, but on this day with the speed and strength Young shows, I'd say sub 44 is not out of the question and probably likely.

  • @cegtown this might be the most retarded things i have ever seen anyone type. You know the world record in the 400 dash is 43.18. NO way anyone will break 44 with hurdles. Lets use our head dude.

  • @BaconJamacian i meant he was capable of a sub 44 in the flat 400m

  • @cegtown yep, angelo taylors PB's are 47.25/44.05 so young had easily the potential to go sub 44 if he wanted

  • @puljacina That is a good analysis. I agree. This performance and Bubka's record (and with respect to Rudisha's new WR) have to be the toughest marks on the books to date.

  • @cegtown agreed, i would add zelezny's 98.48m with the new javelin and sotomayor's 2.45 imo

  • He probably could have had another 0.05-0.10 if he hadn't showboated at the end.

  • he was on drugs obviously never tested positiv bu used in traing periods

  • All of the top runners world around train with steroids !!

  • he must have an etremely strong set of legs and arse to crash the last hurdle down like that, you can see how much lactic acid was in his legs by the way he was running

  • this record will never be broken

  • very good!!

  • wow, i can only run a 58.88 =/

  • Thats pretty fast !!!, What do you run 100 meters on!?

  • crazy fast time. even clipped the hurdle coming down the last 100

  • clipped?

  • sorry the WR is 46.78

  • stupendo incredibile

  • angelo taylor just ran 47.25 to win gold and he is still well behind this WR!

  • kool
