I found another great solution that you don't even need to have a PC connection. Why do you keep showing the boost in resolution? The Monitor seems to be upscaling the image already, why show that the box can force upscaling? I cant imagine it making any difference. I just want to make sure I have all the info before I make a purchase. ALL I NEED for this is a monitor, my consoles, the device here, and the multi-console component cable? Is there a specific type of monitor I need? Mine is a little old, it's a 19" LG monitor. I'm not very familiar with video input devices, so I don't really know what's what.

All I know is that my monitor has a cable with 2 blue knobby things that twist like screws. I assume this is VGA? I dunno. Wow I sound stupid.

@Archlvt Yes, the blue thing is the VGA. All you need is a monitor, consoles and the VGA box. The multi-console cable is NOT included and needs to be purchased separately. It is not required but saves you the time and trouble of unplugging and plugging cables. You can use the component cables from your console if you wanted to.

I just bought this device and i am impressed with it so far but make sure before buying this device that your HD TV/monitor supports 1280x720 (720p) 1920x1080 (1080p/1080i) because when i connected my xbox 360 via this device it doesn't give me the option to pick optimal resolution which for my monitor is 1366x768 therefore my monitor has to downscale to 1280x720 (720p) causing input lag...this was my experience though maybe some peoples monitors have better performance downscaling...

You can use the cables that came with the console and plug into the box. The XCM Multi-Console Component Cable has all console cables in one so there is no need to unplug and plug in another cable.

This box is fucked lol. I've had it for a while and it's done me very well. BUT the box allows an input of up to 1080p but won't OUTPUT to that resolution... I can only get it to go to 1600x1000 ... What the hell is going on there? It's not a huge deal to me as it still looks okay... but others are going to be a little upset if this problem is among other boxes and not just mine lol.

Because some lcd monitors do not have the capability of fixing the image, which means their stuck at 1280x1024 or 720. If your monitor already has DVI, just get a HDMI to DVI adapter or buy a HDMI cable that has DVI on the other end. DVI does not output sound so you'll need to connect your sound system via optical output on the back of the PS3

But on my PSP I can't get 1920x1080p on my Benq G2410HD screen without getting weird glitches like wrong colors and vertical stripe thingies.

It's a 16:9 screen that supports 1920x1080 resolutions on the computer so I dont see why im getting such errors.

I'm getting my PS3 tomorrow and I hope at least that works on 1080p or I have to sadly send all this back :(

Ya I had to plug the PS2 into a TV and change it there to be able to see anything. but I can now use the PS2 with the Box. However... I can't get the darn thing to fill the whole screen. The PSP could, kinda. But this is waaaay to letterbox'y for my taste. I realy hopy it's because of the low rez the PS2 alrdy puts out.
