Ray was special. An inate talent for an authentic art form and an understanding of pathos. He was the sort of performer every scene needs but few have. He and his terrific band provided a foundation of honest musicianship for others to aspire to. Always a great show, always real value for the price of a ticket. Purity of essence is a rare thing. Ray had the goods. All Vancouver music fans miss him. Cheers

I remember having another show that show ,but, still managed to stop by for a little while. I miss him and the hilarious, high-energy shows he did wherever he played. He had a charisma and spirit very few on the local scene could match.
