I haven't tried it on a bike with a single sided swingarm, however it can work if there's a sturdy point on the right side that you can use to lift the bike.
Sure, but it's not advisable to have the engine running for safety reasons. I have not tried using it to raise the front wheel, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
I own a mobile motorcycle repair business in Australia. That is a great idea for owners to use on their own bikes as it remains at a set height. How would you go with liability selling these if some idiot uses it incorrectly and tips a bike over? I personally wouldn't use it purely for risk minimisation reasons. If I drop a customers bike I have to pay for it. It would be safer for me to do the old wheel and spray method to lube chains.
The bike is actually very stable when jacked up and highly unlikely to dislodge. Even if it did, it will just drop a few millimeters and be safely supported by the sidestand, but this scenario is highly unlikely to happen. I've been using this for years on various bikes and I assure you it's safe and risk-free.
That's a great idea man - you gotta get some money and have it manufactured before someone else beats you to it. Much cheaper than a paddock stand (but maybe not as bersatile) and great if you only want to adjust or lube the chain. Centre stands are crap.
I would LOVE to have that for my K8 Hayabusa, for which there is no center stand available. Automatic chain oilers tend to require too much tuning to be optimal, and hence not an option. Do you deliver to faraway Scandinavia / Finland?
where can I find this stand. I'm in north carolina

I just "invented" your stand - a bit late. . . Hope you do well with it.

Can you let the engine run without falling of the motorcycle Jack? Can you also use it for your front tire (cleaning)?

too bad that the chain is on the other side of the bike...
Branik13 2 years ago
It does not matter which side the chain is on. You can lube and clean it on either side easily!
