  • mmmmmhhhh 2008

  • cant hear is, looks cool

  • 3:05 "sorry guys!"

  • should of built an audio mount

  • @1337Tipton You should have paid more attention when someone was trying to teach you grammar.

  • @AngryAussie its' grammer idiort

  • @modernblacksmith No it isn't you stupid little skull fucked cunt

  • @AngryAussie LOL ur funie

  • This is pretty impressive but I would never trust my DSLR on something I put together on my own. I've been using the Cam Caddie Scorpion going for about $38 on Amazon and it's improved every single shot I've taken since I bought it. I recommend it to anyone seeking an independent setup.

  • @MrsPalmerTV Fair enough

  • i think he's holding it wrong! :/

  • @Jcbproducoes You're wrong

  • thats the "poor man's stedicam" design thats online!! I built one too!

    XD!

  • @shapeworkstudios1 It works quite well

  • @AngryAussie ikr???

  • I know even a more cheaper way... buy a light saber (a long one and thats kinda heavy LOL thats what said, anyways...) After that, get some duck tape, and attach your camera to the tip of the light saber, and whole both of your arms on the saber :D

  • @muhatashim And then work on forming a coherent sentence

  • @AngryAussie

:D I was just excited on my experiment lol.

  • @muhatashim I think you're suggesting the sort of thing I do with my monopod.

  • @AngryAussie

    Lol.... thats what she said.

  • Had I seen this at the time...and were in Australia (if that's where you are...its the name haha) I would've gone for the acting job XD...but this steady cam is pretty good and cheap too..which makes it even better...again, great job

  • @James10397 Glad you liked it

  • you stole this from Kipkay's Weekend Project? or did he from you?

  • @friso130 For a start "stolen" is a stupid word to use for a generic project. If you want to obsess about who did it first on YT, look at the date the videos were released.

  • @friso130 I dont think I ever heard him take credit for designing it dude.

  • OK! OK! IM AN IDIOT! sheesh T_T

  • Nice! Cheap, Effective, Simple, I like the way you can do low tracking. Plus, it makes me look a little more like I know what I'm doing. Great idea!

  • @MetricBernard It doesn't hurt to look like you know what you're doing ;)

  • It's not about how dumb or retarded your equipment looks, but how spectacular the shot is. I would have no problem using something like this just to get a video that stands out above the rest. I'm now looking into making my own steadycam too.

  • @APfilmmakers Results count!

  • I AM NOT GOING TO WALK AROUND CARRYING A WATER PIPE LINE WITH A CAMERA ON THE TOP! EVER!

  • @johnchristianbanzon That's your choice

  • @johnchristianbanzon it may not be fashionable but its cheap, and thats point. if you want it to look more professional your obviously going to have to pay for it bro

  • @johnchristianbanzon Wow you must be rich then, care to donate me an 800+$ steadycam?

  • @johnchristianbanzon

Put some electrical tape around it!

  • @johnchristianbanzon

Put some electrical tape around it!

  • You must pick up some seriously high end audio with that mic up there !!

  • @ThePoonFish I guess so

  • @AngryAussie

Is the wind sock removable, or is it fixed in place, with like....roots n that?

  • Great job, my plumber would feel right at home with this!

  • @OttoBelden I'm sure he would!

  • lol he is shy lol

  • @ElProyectoFenix Maybe so

  • @AngryAussie :-)

(I am a movie maker too) check my other account called tinotrivino

    hugs and greets from spain

    TIno

  • lol only joking mate, I thought a wind Jammer Hair do was cool.

  • Will your wig clean my blinds? and get dust off my monitior?

  • @FilmMakerAndyLunn Quite possibly

  • @AngryAussie dont listen to him dude your hair is sick.

  • melbourne, yay

  • Angry you look pissed at Pete every time he talks, and he looks frightened

  • @Connectornz HAHAHAHHA You're reading WAY too much into that!

  • greenscreen

  • @punxuntilwedie Hilarious

  • kiwi's are funny....im not sure why, but they are...

  • @dispenserPEZ Given that there are no kiwis in this video I have no idea of the relevance of that comment

  • @AngryAussie NEITHER DO I !!!!

    TITTIES !

  • @dispenserPEZ there not kiwi there australian, tey are in melbourne and hes name is angry aussie

  • Dude, your mic/sound is out of phase.

  • @danakamide No it isn't

  • Could you make me one?

  • @Rock123 No

  • This is nice and easy but a pro home made unit by youtuber wsclatter is amazingly engineered, check his out...when shooting upside down, it would view upside down?

  • That is some pretty intense hair.

  • @TheKatIsBackAgain Sure is

  • Didn't really show you how to MAKE it, like the title suggests. Otherwise I love your show :)

  • @VideoCopilotTut He tells you

  • Thanks for the tutorial.. Nice and simple but very effective. Spot on fellas! :)

  • @jaysuscrust Always good to share tips

  • This sucks and does not work!

  • The fact that you suck does not reflect on this video.

  • @AngryAussie I just can't see how it would work either... sticking pipes to the camera and then sticking a weight on it still makes the entire thing static, and you still use your hands to move it around... it just makes the whole thing heavier...

  • @spike132000 The fact that you can see how it works says a lot about you. Of course it fucking works, watch the video!

  • @spike132000 The reason it works is it increases the polar monent of enertia. This is the same property that makes a sports car quick in the corners and a big four door sedan slow in the corners. With the camera part of a device that greatly extends the length of the camera and with the weight on the other end it makes the camera very resistant to random movement.

  • if i make this would it be useful for like if i were to be running would it stay still?

  • @frank14725 The idea is that you move with it

  • @AngryAussie yea i know but will it stay as steady even if im running im guess yes

  • haha at minute 03:10 loool jajajja

  • if you put that handle closer to the top of the unit it would be MUCH more steady

  • Why don't you show how it's done?

  • its true what you wrote

  • I have Angry Aussie's scarf :P well not HIS per say.

  • Scarves are cool

  • looks like a great idea, would love to see those shots with the rig.

  • Look at the response vid

  • 66966 reproductions!

    GOOD NUMER

    AND GOOD EXPLANATION!

  • Cheers

  • I have a question that's not precisely on topic but still about filming.

What is that thing they hold over the actor's head that hangs on a long stick? One from the filming crew walks around holding it over the speaking person's head.

I went to a pro studio over the holiday; I saw it there.

My friend was checking out new talent, and we were watching some teenagers talk about partying. He liked them.

But I forgot to ask him what the 'long stick thing' was, and he's going to be gone for a month.

  • Some call it a "fishpole mic"

  • It's a boom mic

  • "Boom mic" or "shotgun mic"

  • It's also called a boom mic and and is normally a shot gun mic on a pole with a special rig for keeping pole vibrations from being picked up.

The reason they hold it over their head is the mic point down at them pick up voices but the ground under them does not make noise where the area behind the actors might have more noise then you think..

  • Why are you not showing the actual video from the shots you took during this video? If you want to sell snake oil, your doing a good job.

  • What the fuck are you on about?

  • I'd like to be an actor, but my friend doesn't think I'm ready for anything big-or where I have to open my eyes.

He was messing with me, b/c I couldn't open my eyes in my first video log. And all I could say is 'This is going to be about Ft. Hood.'

At that point, I'm not even in the shot. My brother's picture is. His stateside Army Base is Ft. Hood.

But, after watching how my friend did it, the picture is gr8. Perfectly centered, b/c he set it up.

The gr8 picture made me want to do the v-log.

  • It takes a lot of training and practice

  • now that's what i'm talkin' about... their friggin' camera man is a stick !!! that is absolutely brilliant on so many levels !!! much respect !!!

  • Improvisation is the key

  • 3:10 Sorry guys LOL

  • lol im trying to make one of these... but im not suure if its going to help me with like a 4.9 Lbs camcorder... lolz.... how much of counterweight do i need?

  • Watch Darkrealm's instructions

  • ty.............

  • you would need a 5lbs counter weight

  • ty:) so at least weighing rigth about the same but over..... thanks :)

  • I use my tripod like a steadycam!

  • I do on occasion as well

  • nice vid mate

  • Sweet. Gonna have to make me one of those. Where can I see the side by side comparison between his steady cam and your stick apparatus?

  • Look at the response videos

  • Albert Park Lake!!! Hey angry Aussie do you live permanently in Melbourne or did you just visit?

  • looks great! so great... If you can play it back man! WOW! guys how can you do videos like this and don't show the actual steadycan shot??? LOL

    man!! zooom ...over the head..

  • Look at the response videos to see it in action.

  • thanks so much, definetly gonna use it

  • It's a cool trick

  • are you talking about the nickshift when you said nick?

  • No.

  • Build Your Own Tripod Camera Stabilizer For Free. See how. Click on my Name Williamwestbrook1 And Watch the Video.

  • I see that you can click on darkrealms response. but it might be handy to have a link to it over on the info section for this vid. just a thought

  • Almost nobody reads the details

  • u sucks. ask why i u dont know.. u try to learn how to do stadycam, but u dont know what is it

  • Fuck off you deranged worthless piece of shit!

  • lol internet

  • @lumbagoteam Maybe u suck even more...I mean come on you can't even spell ffs.

  • and maybe not, thats my opinion asshole. we talk about steadycam, not spelliing. i know that isn't "glidecam", but.. if they named this shit steadycam they should know a little bit about it (keep horizon etc.),tutorial isn't too bad but u know what i mean...

  • No, lets talk semantics. An opinion is something based on observation, experience and assumed fact. Telling this guy he sucks just because you're apparently the worlds biggest genius, thats not opinion, it's slander.

Maybe if you know so much more you should just do it yourself. I for one appreciate AngryAussie's effort.

(Notice how I argued logically and coherently with you, and I didn't have to resort to calling you an asshole :P

  • hope that really works good. I want to see the footage of that.

  • Check Darkrealm's response video to see what it looks like.

  • There's a bit of this guy taking credit for someone else's work. This was invented years ago see: steadycam. org

  • Grow the fuck up you moron, he isn't suggesting he created the idea. Honestly, people like you could fuck up anything.

  • well the dude did say he made it at 3:25 and on 25 seconds you say it also and on 1:30 it was said again. I mean great vid man, but Im a professional filmmaker and if I made this idea I would have hate to see this. Plz make it clear on your description.

  • Of course he fucking made it. It's hand fucking made. He never even suggested that he was claiming the fucking concept! Get a fucking grip!~

  • you are right, he did not say it, YOU did :25. It's ok, relax, I see where your sn comes from ;-)

  • ILLIMANIPRODUCTIONS

You are retarded! Why would he say he saved 40 bucks if he claimed he invented it?

    You're so dumb.

    Anyway, great vid guys. :)

  • he said it COST him 40 bucks

  • Hey Dark Realm;

    Enjoyed your tutorial!!

  • cool DYI stuff

  • Hope it gives you some ideas.

  • @HasdrubalOfCarthage Do yourself injury?

  • thanks for showin that, can you both demonstrate your monopod as well??

  • If you look at Pete's video you see my monopod.

  • This is some of the good shit! Great vid.

Your a good man Angry Aussie.

  • thanks dude! glad you found it enjoyable! :D

  • Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Yes you are.

  • wht i do is i have a dolly on my tripod, which is (i guess) better when on smooth surfaces, but this one is good wherever it is

  • That's a good tip too.

  • i was going to make my own dolly once, but they are about $400 and really not portable..

  • let me try to understand it. I'll definitely try that. You know I will...

  • I think you'll find it useful.

  • Nice vid ^^

PS: Noticed the guy actually saying sorry when he runed by...I gotta move to Australia...

  • Polite joggers :)

  • Pete looks like a clever straight boy. I don't know any gay boys being that clever technically. I know they exist. They think that I'm technical, and you've seen my low tech my channel is, haha. Thank God for diversity, we can all learn things from each other. Blessings +^+^+ The Saint

  • I think all the handy gay boys work in theatre!

  • thanks, i like being straight :P but im glad you liked this vid!

  • Yeah, I like being straight as well. haha.

  • you represent everything I hate about youtube

  • You hate people who get involved with other people and share? Wow, you kinda suck.

  • gee, i hate fun too...

  • i wish the fuckwits in the movie clover field and Blaire witch had one of these bad boys with them would save alot of people felling sick watching

  • Man, if cloverfield happened to me it would be shot far more nicely!

  • Its nice and all... however its been done by many many other youtubers. Make sure you give credit where credit is due.

  • No. It was completely invented by us on the spot. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar.

  • You should thank youtuber:Jcl5m

...you have got his website posted on your information section....

it was created by him about a year ago...
