This makes slightly more sense if you've seen the original Antz Pantz commercial.
Basically, A woman is lying on a bed wearing only socks, a singlet (tank top) and Antz Pantz brand panties. Some ants are attracted to the undies, crawl up her legs, and then an echidna apears next to her on the bed, and she says "Sick 'em rex".
Echidnas are native Australian animals with quills, and who use their long tonmgues to eat ants.
That thing the waiter braight on the silver tray is an echidna.
