I absolutely love Dottie Rambos music! I am a recovering addict and her music has seen me through a lot of hard times....In the midst of it all her music gave me a song in my heart...I miss her....
I love Dottie Rambo...I am a recovering addict and her music has seen me through a lot of difficult times in my life...God Bless you always Dottie... I truly miss you....
I could never listen to this song to many times. It has been a source of encouragement over and over. Its a great reminder of the love of Jesus. And a great reminder to never ever give up no matter what is coming your way or what you have gone through. ~~~ Tim Bryant
THE BEST EVER!!!!!! I LOVE THEM!!!! My dad use to take us to singing conventions in louisville ky, they were always there Every song is very heart felt, they are just AWESOME lovethere names my name andmy moms reba and dottie GOD BLESS
Did Dottie do a song called Promises,it goes something like 'Promises,Promises and all of them true,He's done exactly what he said he would do,he didnt promise that I would never stumble but he did say he would catch me if I fall'',I love this song, but I cant find it,I'm pretty sure Dottie recorded it and may have even wrote it,any help you can give is appreciated
Awesome Dottie was one of the best. i met her in person before she died and oh she was such a wonderful person. she is walking the streets of glory now and sitting with jesus.
Out of great grief and pain come songs in trhe night... Dottie gave us so many great songs, and bless her heart, she had to pay such a great price in pain and distress to be able to do so. Bless your memory love. Tell the Lord "Hello," I can't wait to join you!

Today most gospel singers often want to copy the singing style of pop stars sing a lot. You cannot tell the difference between gospel and circular music anymore.
But there are people like Dotty whose simplicity of style will always touch your heart.
wow, i am so saddened my the passing of this wonderful woman, i didn't know until i read these comments. I sang this song at my moms funeral march 2, 2004.
Listening to Dottie's songs are such great encouragement, when i'm down and depressed. I go to the internet and listen to her songs, they are very uplifting. Where can I can her songbook or a book of all of her songs that she hsa written? Thanks a bunch, God Bless..
I sang with a group for 9 years and we sang a lot of her song, and Bro. Clentin sang this one a lot, Now I know they can sing it together. Now they are in a place were there will never be any pain. God is still useing Dotties's song to reach the lost. Glory to God for her.
I wish they would make a movie of her life, and put it on life time, because her life would bring so many people that never heard of christ, or her , {to Christ.} She gave all the life she had to Christ, her family, her friends and the world, inspite of her back pain. I sure do love her, and I know she is with Christ, enjoying her rest.
i think that is a fantastic idea about a film of Dotties life, when i first got saved we sang her songs and it wasnt till much later in my life i got to know more about the women behind the songs,im from a small island of scotland and it shows dottie rambo influenced the world for jesus christ.
yes it sadden me and my family when we heard the news of dottie bus accident i grieved it tore me up and others to im sure but god gets us through it just like he will with dottie family.she will always be missed she was the greast gospel singer she is shelterd in the arms of god now.
A woman of faith, like the scripture say, they dwelt in tents and caves, looking for a city with foundations whose Builder and Maker is God. You were an epistle written by the Hand of God and posted to those of the household of faith,we sing your songs in the dusty streets of my home village and the presence of God becomes so heavy. Well done thou faithful servant. Now unto Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above, to the One True God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ be the Glory.!
thank you Jesus, thank you for giving us this great gift in the life of Dottie. Just love you Dottie and I just keep thinking how you are before the throne, worshipping, singing and cheerleading us all on, to live and love and look to Jesus. Once again this brings such tears of love thinking of all that Jesus has been there through it all, and now dear one you are home and in His loving arms. You will continue to bless lives for all eternity always because of Jesus.
What a spectacular woman! I am so saddened by her death. I had the opportunity to record her song, "Harbor In The Time Of Storm", last year and present her a copy of it. She was such a sweet person. She will be greatly missed.
There was nothing performed by The Singing Rambos or each one as a solo artist that wasn't splendid. I have been a fan for more than thiry years. My spirit is broken because of the loss of Dottie. My heart goes out to the family. God bless you all. Reba you are in my thoughts. Dottie was a legend. Again God bless.
I love this song and the way Dottie sings it,Im trying to learn the words to it .if anyone has them would you pst them to me. Dottie you are realy an inspiration to me and to many others as well. thanks Dottie
Verse 2: i've crossed the hot burning desert and i've struggled the right road to choose but somewhere up ahead I see cool clear water and defeat is one word I just dont use Chorus: (twice) too many sunsets lye behind the mountain too many rivers my feet have walked through too many treasures are waiting over yonder theres just too much to gain to lose ending: theres just too much to gain to lose too much to gain, too much to gain theres just too much to gain to lose
Dottie: Shortly after I received the Baptism of The Holy Spirit, I had Too Much To Gain To Lose..but came close to losing it all. I sing this song often as I remember the hard times and thank Jesus for all He's brought me through.
God bless you Dottie and thank you hoover4000 for sharing this video.
