I'll take the bullitt lol, the challengers numbers are unimpressive at best, put everything that challenger has in a smaller engine, in a car the size of the mustang..oh wait, they did..its called the 2011 Mustang 5.0, and you would have a low 12 second car that handles better in every way possible and is still cheaper then that challenger.

Sure there is no replacement for displacement, but nothing beats power to weight ratio and mustang truly has that now.

They are both great cars. I own a Bullitt, and I love it and I would never trade it for a dodge. The bullitt sounds better handles better is more fun and surprisingly almost as fast despite the lower amount of horsepower.

its only got 110 horse more. and if you would stop and think, the challenger weighs 600lbs more. so it takes more power to move it, thus the 110 horses, so the real gain is only about 60-70hp the rest of the 110 goes to carrying that 600lbs. your paying extra for that 1/2 second, more trunk space, better rear seating, all the electronic features, better interior..etc.. pretty much a luxury sports car is what it is.

@fashizze i agree until a certain point. the lx body srt8s (charger, 300c and magnum) are only available with automatic transmission versus the ly body of the challenger. the only available engine whether it be automatic or manual transmission is still 425hp 420torque. the only reason the challenger/charger/300c/magnum srt8's would be a bit behind is because of the weight (4100+ lbs!) the srt8's will be faster than the mustangs but the camaro inches away sadly :'(

@ticker693 as much as i dont wanna admit it, it is true. the mopars are almost a full 10k more than the camaro or even the new mustang 5.0 which is a bomb! and thats a 10k from the baseline (all stock but flly-equipped). i got my srt8 charger at a really good price because it was a demo car. i saved the 10k off baseline (the car is fully fully fully-loaded lol) so that 10k i saved will be invested into stage 2 heads/cams. that will bring me to gt500 performance.

The SRT8 is comparable to a Shelby GT500, not a Bullitt. The Bullitt should be compared to a R/T. Both are awesome cars, but I would have to take the Bullitt over the Challenger biased on price, driving experience, and rarity. Plus, you got to love that dark highland green!
