I've been using Synth1 for almost every synth sound in my music production experience. I still don't know what the ring butting next to sync does exactly though. I've used it before, but only because the result of it sounded good. I usually know exactly what knobs to turn before making a sound that I want, but the ring button is never planned. Do you know what it does?
@teezamdk : A typical "init" patch, but whatever, just look at the settings shown in this video if you want to reproduce the same sound (or ask me to send it over via e-mail).
@artofdreammusic for some reason my init sound is completely different so it wont allow me to resproduce that sound. so yh i would a appreciate it if you could send it to my inbox. jus sent you a msg with my email. thanks in advance.
Wow this was a really great demo of sound design with Synth1, I've always been a bit scared by the UI but you make it look quite easy just by playing around with it.
@elneilios : Thanks. Don't let yourself be scared by an interface such as Synth1's. Play around with the knobs, download other people's patches (there are awesome banks available for free on the internet!), tweak them, look how they do their stuff... that's how I learned (and still have a lot to learn actually). (And check out Synth1.12, the latest version, it's awesome !)
I know the lyrics to this already..
I like cheesy poofs
you like cheesy poofs
if we didnt have cheesy poofs we'd be-
Lame.
