Adam you're probably the best English speaking flamenco player; you managed to demystify flamenco (codes) with your vocal cords as well as with your guitar stings! Where can I buy your tutorial DVDs in the UK?
The thing i dislike is that you somehow copy the Grisha Goryachev technique which is not flamenco(3 finger picado,it's basically tremolo)in his case.I don't no if you,re playing picado; but thanks for posting.Cheers
dude , this guys playing has nothing to do with Grisha. What a stupid comparison. Both are exellent players. Del Monte is a creator in flamenco and has a propper legitimate picado, as does Grisha. Their styles are completely different. One is a creator and one a reproducer.
Adam del Monte, please do Granaina for your next video lesson, Tarantas is good but Granaina is the best, your interpretation is superior to any I've ever seen
You have no idea how thankful I am that you are being a musician while explaining the forms, describing the sensations of the chords of and everything, rather than blandly explaining it.
Thank you very much, this series of videos is very helpful, I am a violinist and recently wanted to arrange a flamenco inspired piece. These videos really help understand flamenco.
I would like to know if you are familiar with the music of pablo de sarasate, and what it has from flamenco, and doesn't
I like the way you explain the chords in terms of mood and link it to the geography and mood of Southern Spain. I am fascinated by Flamenco that was once the music it seems of Indian visitors to the Spanish land mass when it was not Spain as we know it now, and how Spain was unified and somehow the music of what were gypsies (combined with Andalucian folk music like Alegrias) became part of the Spanish identity. Anyone interested in understanding Spain should read Iberia, by James Michener.
Thank you very much...I love it. Actually I am a bassplayer but I love calssical guitar music - gipsy jazz, flamenco... I tuned my bass up with guitar strings so I can play theese styles too (my vids). You play really great and you are a perfect teacher. Its a pleasure to watch you play and I can see, that you are truly a musician by heart and soul. just great.
That is awesome ! I love this Grana.. how could I get the music sheet of it...I have tried to follow what he plays, but could not get exact sound like him.
Can he play it very very slowly, so I can follow the rhythm and the chord playing. :P

This is very well illustrated with 'flamenquish' ideas.
You can hear the guy really is passionate about what he plays. What he says is also found to be true in Spain.
