  • Where are the videos of the real prototype? The yellow and blue one? I found the videos of Verticopter-II. Very nice.

  • "Concept": A technical word meaning will never be put into production.

  • I found it extremely difficult to masturbate on this video.

  • You know what CGI tells me? This doesn't exist.

  • What is the point of this aircraft, or what is are designers trying to achieve. Its bigger than a helicopter, cant take as many passengers as most. Ok it might be quicker, but will it not be more expensive to run ? what do you guys think ?

  • @samcarterreloaded It would (in real life) have a counterbalance for fat people. Its chief selling point seems to be safety (although I wouldn`t want to eject with the props still spinning). There is also no sign of a stabilizer.

  • look at both VTOL aircraft from the 50's convair and lockheeds Salmon and Pogo aircraft, it is a tough sell and I wonder about the gear box on a contra rotating type aircraft as they have proved problematic in practice. Look at a flying model before making any claims

  • "amazingly plush stabilisation" hahaha thats one hell of a conclusion, all these claims are just a load of crap until a prototype is flown

  • All these claims on a concept that has never taken flight.

  • @testermanish it was modeled in xplane so its a sound design its a matter of the guy getting funding

  • @Elios0000 And I'm sure that the FAA approves of Xplane designs? Wait wait wait, a MICROSOFT program is used to model and "fly" this thing, so it must be sound? SERIOUSLY? Come on dude.

  • @xXdoctorXXGoNzOXx X-plane is not a MS product and yes Google the CarterCopter also prototyped in X-plane as well as early designs for Spaceshipone

  • Get ?Minecraft

    Download "Flan"'s plane mod

    install the mod

    vertical landing with the planes!

    LOL!

  • more US vapour ware?

  • @Rapido3d More Meeheecan "Si? Fly?" asshat

  • I am extremely impressed. When will it fly?

  • if i have this, i will fly only 20 meters above the highways having unclosed wheels permannetly.

  • I want one!

  • Check out their newest prototype:

    verticopter-ii

  • this one is nice

  • just a concept

  • so what if an overweight person flies, but outweighs the rear end of the craft? the verticopter tilts forward to such an extent that all of a sudden becomes a horizontacopter? and if so how the hell would he get down? he'd have to resort to such extremeties as abandoning aircraft? he'd have to parachute down to safety otherwise he might end up as flat as a pancake due to his weight... poor fat people. how they redicule you so!

  • @MillionaireDubMind If a fat person were to have it tilt, you could easily just have your rotors stay in such a position that it would work as a helicopter with you hanging downwards. The landing should be done very slowly to avoid scratches, but you'd be fine.

Think thrice if you're fat and plan to go in this thing though..

  • @lceus Hate crime. You insensitive cunt. The best part ran down your daddys' leg, AND asscrack. Fuckwit turdmonger.

  • @xXdoctorXXGoNzOXx

    1. Being fat doesn't make you part of some race, every human race can get fat.

    2. It's not a hate crime to give tips to land safely if you're overweight. It would only count as positive discrimination in this case.

    3. What does my father have to do with you being fat?

  • @MillionaireDubMind I knew a guy who would have to put 50 lbs of baggage in the back of his Cessna 172 just to meet weight and balance requirements when he flew solo

  • @n49945 LOL

  • lmfao.. we're going to laugh at this video in 20 years like we did at everything in the 1980s... this is just a pathetic, pathetic video.

  • mmmmmmmmmm death.

  • Unique. Cool. I hope they can make it affordable for civilian flyers.

  • Cool video, and if they ever produce one and get it approved by the FAA I'd love to give it a test-flight.

But I visited the site, and not only are they still trolling for investors, but it appears their "prototypes" aren't even to scale (they're models).

This early in the process, I wouldn't expect to see one for a few years...and that's only if they get the funding they need.

  • Very good, but, does it blend??

  • A simulação parece que foi feita no Flight Simulator 2004 ou 2002 por aí!

  • this is all good and fine and a original design, but i want to see the finished product flying round and doing loop de loop's and all that other shit.

  • why do we rely on props???? get rid of them! then youll have my attention..im talking about rodin coils and anti gravity

  • The props are placed directly in the center of the Verticopter...hmmm... what if the pilot is really fat?

  • not too sure i like the idea of the blades that are really long being DIRECTLY behind my head

  • when you rotate the propeller does gyro effect as dicribed in physics do anything?

  • ladies and gentlemen, I am in the designing phase of a totally new craft. this craft will be easier to build than the verticopter. i will be building the rc version within next few months after i build a proven design. then i will modify it to be the exact model of my future craft. top secret as of now. this will have virtually no moving parts like the verticopter which is unsafe. this machine will be the safest flying machine in the world.

  • @crazyryan Great, another top secret. I'll invest right now, sight unseen. Or not.

  • drivers ed will suck

  • ПИЗДЁЖ

  • i would consider forming a fused ring around the two propellers. line the inside with repulsive magnets and the propellers will go faster and direct wind more efficiently through the propellers. also, the propellers would work even with a down engine since the two propellers are connected.

  • It would make a fun R/C model. Anything more is a hopeless pipe-dream.

    "fuckystoat" summed it up accurately.

As an artist's concept, it looks slick and awesome. As a real-life, man-carrying craft there are so many things wrong with it, I hardly know where to begin.

The auto manufacturers have design artists who design concept cars. It is all about sex appeal and marketing. That is what this is.

Aircraft builders need aero engineers from the start. Sexy doesn't fly. Good engineering does.

  • @dana05ist you just have to make it big enough. soon jets and helis will be the same thing.

  • @dana05ist Could work well for a drone. Much lighter and much lower safety requirements. Too many gears in this version.

  • I design most inefficient

  • Sounds like another Moeller debacle. Don't even have enough funds to build a real world working prototype. Nice concept, but not giving them my money.

  • shit and shinola why do fuck wits think a computer generated image combined with some old bollocks = actual engineering

  • looks like something off of garys mod XD

  • Yea Yea!! Just tell me when i can buy one

  • fixed pitch is very dangerous and hard to control. The response for the commands is very slow

  • Who designed your Home Site? Your Image Verification isnt working?

  • i want one

  • Great design, and thanks for posting. How does the aircraft maintain stability while hovering, without (apparently) a swash plate?

  • the central hub could be done with electric motors instead of mechanical coupling.

I'd like to see it fly and get a feel for how strained this design type is

  • This may effect performance but Id put a covering over the propellers. Would make average joes feel better too by the appearance. Would love to see a large rc prototype to gauge performance

  • Somehow I think using electric with the best batteries we will EVER have will give you all of a 5 minute flight time. We'll have to wait for the magic power cells from star wars for electric flight in an aircraft like this.

  • ullrichsautter@sautter-industrietechnik.de

  • BUILD IT NOW

  • its simple maybe but nothing is safe o.o

  • So... Is this real yet... Thanks for the hype. Exciting, but as they say, I'll believe it when I see it.

  • I want one that can be modular and have multiple fittings, I could attach a survelance pod or a weapon pod, and maby attach a cargo fit to carrie

  • OK HOW MUCH I WILL BYE 1

  • All of the Hiccup I have is, Whether 'Ejection seats' are possible in Verticopters...???? and secondly, what about the payload capacity..??? Can it be taken at par with helicopters or convertiplanes, like recent V-22 Ospery...???

  • All of the Hiccup I have is, Whether 'Ejection seats' possible in Verticopters...???? and secondly, what about the payload capacity..??? Can it be taken at par with helicopters or convertiplanes, like recent V-22 Ospery...???

  • @Abhilekh123 "Whether 'Ejection seats' possible in Verticopters?" I see no reason why they wouldn't have them. The blads aren't over the piolts heads and the rockets in the seats will send them 200 feet away from the Verticopter.

  • Hey.... Hye... I have been through your video a long back.....

Even I have it downloaded..... All of the Hiccup I have is, Whether 'Ejection seats' possible in Verticopters...???? and secondly, what about the payload capacity..??? Can it be taken at par with helicopters or convertiplanes, like recent V-22 Ospery...???

  • cool desingn, pich stability on VTOL or even low seeds would be a big problem.

  • SEE PRORAY VTOL ON UTUBE BY juswantahover.

  • 0:59 That is one happy NPC.

    I'll buy it ! =)

  • @AtrumMixer "ok"

  • No prototype yet? Why the animation?

  • TOO MUCH BODY-WORK COMPARED 2 COCK-PIT (WEIGHT). RETRACTABLE WHEELS IS MORE WEIGHT. PLUS COCKPIT IS TOO FAR FROM CofG. IT'S ALWAYS BEST 2 DO LOTS OF DIFFERENT DESIGNS AND DON'T PUT EGGS IN ONE BASKET. ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BAD SIDE TO GET UNBIASED OPINION, ALWAYS ENCOURAGE CHANGE! SEE DESIGNS BY justwantahover (YOUTUBE).

  • WHY IS A HELICOPTER WITH ENCLOSED ROTORS SUPPOSEDLY MORE DANGEROUS THAN A REGULAR CHOPPER? IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.!!! (THERE ARE AVIATION RULES, YOU KNOW). I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT THEY WOULD BE SAFER THAN A CHOPPER , NOT MORE DANGEROUS. YOU WINGERS THINK IT'S SAFER ON THE ROAD, I DON'T THINK SO, YOU HOONS.

  • check my channel for a lower diskloading VTOL vehicle. also check the Gen-H4 coaxial heli

  • So what? An 8 year old kid could make a video like this today. Big deal, make one for real already.

  • ok 3 years and I hadnt seen any real model, fail

  • I don't know what your trying to do with this. Most people who buy private planes/jets are just gonna buy a normal plane/jet cause it'll be easier for them to get a pilot. If you are trying to create an aircraft that replaces the car, well then you've killed us all if you succeed. Think of how badly people drive in two-dimension, and then imagine how badly they'll fly in a third dimension.

  • U.S.A will probaly attach some missiles and bombs to it and will start killing people.

  • @ZzRvXzZ THOSE GOD DAMN MEXICANS ARE THE PEOPLE TO BE BLAMING!!!! THEY KILL EVERYONE AND THERE FOOD IS SHIT!!!

  • @KyleTheLamma You need to go to a shrink and get help with your racist anger issues!

  • @cw8jwh I DONT HAVE A MOTHER FUCKING ANGER ISSUE YOU FAG I JUST HATE HOW PEOPLE BLAME THE US FOR BAD THINGS WHEN ITS REALLY THE NIGGERS AND WET BACKS!!!!

  • @ZzRvXzZ ooh rah!!! lol

  • Did you say A "GREEN VERSION?" LOL!!! Start burning Hydrogen in Wankels and you're there. Of course you'll have to develop the carbon nano-fiber storage tanks first. But I'd say you've got your hands full with this. Why not do an R/C toy version to raise all that cash you'll need to make it work. Oh yeah, how will you address that pesky little DELAMINATION issue that is so close to the heart of carbon/fiber epoxy composite structures?

  • @paullubliner

    wtf are u talking about!?!??!?

  • @ZzRvXzZ Try "Google" and find out.

  • @paullubliner Unless you have a crappy mechanic or manufacturer, composite structures such as fiberglass and/or carbon fiber don't just spontaneously delaminate. The current state of aeronautical development has provided for great structures that can take a good pounding and still keep going. To what specific delamination issues are you referring to?

  • @cw8jwh Look into why the F117 is now out of service. The solution is a three dimensional carbon fiber mat. This has been solved, but not as yet addressed are the issues of increased weight (more resin needed) nor otherwise dealt with manufacturing issues as yet developed during tooling design and application. At present, the loads are directly transferred to a single surface where the resin is in contact with the fabric, hence delamination. Resin penetration of the woven fibers being the issue.

  • Comment removed

  • @cw8jwh:This because there are no tensile-loaded fibers connecting these laminates in the "Z" Axis, between the layers of cloth, the resin alone being the only structural member. It literally unzips under repeated flexing of the primarily stress surfaces and load-paths. A new 3D mat addresses this deficiency. That is why many say the new "Aircraft Wonder Material of the 21st Century" is, aluminum alloy. I see you haven't any "hands-on" experience in either fiberglass or composite construction.

  • @ZzRvXzZ hahahahahahahaha !!!

  • @ZzRvXzZ

China, Britain, Russia, you know other coutries that would do it before the US...

  • @ZzRvXzZ thats a good thing

  • @ZzRvXzZ Hopefully.

  • This is a STUPID idea that will NEVER see production. Death trap, I'd be safer in an ultralight

  • I don't think fiber glass will work.

  • @lOverbOytx1 its carbon fiber dah

  • this will never succeed

  • awsome thumps up if you like pussy.

  • turbopropellers are already obsolete, I'd rather have a turbojet engine. I do realize a jet should not be able to tilt, because the hot gases would melt the frame. Instead it would require multiple movable exhaustion pipes like the British VTOL. The advantage of propellers is being cheap and offering more flying autonomy. On the downside, it looks and probably is fragile, prone to malfunctions and accidents. XXI century flying objects will be the new generation of zeppelins.

  • reminds me of the old Slipstream 5000 game XD

    good times

  • How much for a 5 seater?

  • sorry to say but this is actually a downgrading in ideas. An autogyro is more efficient, effective and a lot safer than this "instrument of complexity".

  • I'd KILL for an rc version of verticopter! b4 making it full size, u should make a comercial rc version, therefore, u can work out the kinks, and tou'd be investing money; that when tou're r/c version is sold to R/C inthusiests wil make profit, and help get $ tword you'r future full sized models, and industry!

  • @anthony3leaves check the website.

  • id KILL for an rc version! b4 making it full size, u should make a comercial rc version, therefore, u can work out the kinks, and tou'd be investing money, that when sold wil make profit, and giv $ tword you'r future full sized models, and industry!

  • Looks cool but the cockpit is held on by a pretty small peice of fiberglass I trust fiberglass but it looks like it the cockpit could just fall off. Maybe you should brainstorm a little more then I might think about hopping in one of those things.

  • cool concept but good luck getting me in a real one tho. Maybe after its all tried and true =/

  • I wish them all the best, but its way too complex and expensive for the average person to afford.

  • but what if you crash?

  • I think the guys in the ballon are saying to Garrow pilot "Get the fuck away you brain dead idiot."

  • If the counter rotating blades are at CG she must have a heavy tail. Always leave the green electric option open and remember that in the event of a crash the vehicle is made out of fully recyclable materials :)

  • cool idea, no really awesome idea but BAD video. this was seriously lame!

  • With the blade loading the autorotation would by nonexistant,NO auto and NO safe landing. and the prop interaction and body will make this a very noisy shitbox. And the drumming will fatigue the structure fast,Composet or metal your going to have a maintenance headach, Not a good idea,

  • here is an actual test flight video proven prototype check out my channel for actual working flying vehicle (2010)

  • IT OUTPERFORMS HELICOPTER BY FOUR!!!!

    Four of what?

    FOUR!!!

    Four of what?!?!

    Four... of... FLYING!!!!!

  • Can you ever develope anything that isnt used to murder or kill people by military and police??

  • What a bullshit plot at running off with others investment money. I do 3d modeling and animation too and its so easy to "engineer" things like this that will never work. Unlike you I actually prototype the things I design and they exist on some scale in the real world. That's usually where you find out the REAL problems with what you designed.

The big thing you are missing is fuel storage. It takes more fuel to hover than fly forward with wings. I'm not saying it wouldn't fly, just not far.

  • WOW, I want one!!!

  • basicly a big rc plain

  • really?

    Plastic gears?

    good luck with that one

  • @jimbo80982 you realise that a lot of cars and motorbikes have plastic gears right? Not the main driving ones, but they are in there. To keep weight down.

  • @ribenawrath thats fine but plastic in a flying machine? would you trust that?

  • @jimbo80982 do you know what aeroplanes are made of?

  • @ribenawrath o dear god lol

  • omg i want one!!

  • Rolls Royce wouldnt give engines for this shit

  • hey this works built one years ago good design stopped developement because it was to big to heavy needed to much motor and i did not like the idea of the props coming apart behing me and cutting me in half but i think these guys can build a good one so count me in too.

  • Yawn, let me know when you actually have one flying and not just an idea on x-plane.

  • Neat- o

  • I'll take 3!!!

  • Best flying design I've ever seen. Compact and simple for low cost, and easy to fly since propellers are in the center making a fluid transition from vertical to horizontal flight. I want one!

  • Dear Santa.........

  • У этого аппарата возникнут серьезные проблемы с устойчивостью, при зависании. В режиме зависания центр масс аппарата выше, чем точка приложения силы вертикальной тяги, поэтому Verticopter опрокинется.

  • Id be afraid of having two huge propellers behind me. What if im about to crash and I want to bail.

  • it looks like moller

  • Unbelievably COOL !!!!

  • don't like.

  • i prefer the moller m400 skycar

  • @fsxzone "i prefer the moller m400 skycar" Watch the engine failure scenerios at 1:45. So called "flying cars" can't do anything like that. (though i wonder if this aircraft can really do those types of safe vertical crash landings.)

  • how much is it?

    lol

  • I saw one on ebay For 59$.

  • this is definetely fsx, not xplane cause i got both games.

Xplanes aerodynamic features work differently somehow.

  • @Armigo91 It's X-Plane douchetard!

  • Such a professional narrated and graphic designed vid, and still you ruined it by adding fsx to it,

if you were to show professional flying skills but no, commercial break, buy this future plane and you see one roflcopter almost hit the water. I mean it stall dropped like 8meters in altitude and barely hit the water.

I mean fuuuuuk. How can you mixture that with such a failing fsx vid. this vid is a joke. Look i can fly!

  • I thing this is Xplane not Fsx

  • lol @ 2:25 guy falling off balloon XD

  • if you look closely he is using Microsoft Flight Simulator X!!! its a fake!!!

  • looks like the future of personal flight. what do you use to design and test on the computer?

  • what licence will be required?. Is it a plane, helicopter or both?. With it having 2 engines will you have to take several test's and if it is a turbo prop design how much is it likely to cost?.

  • very nice!

  • '

    copy like V-22

  • military? lol...

  • Flight simulator x ...

  • if it's a bit breezy, this thing will go wild like a bull being branded. it's waay too light, have you not seen how model aircraft do this?

  • Um, electric is like, silly. Aviation fuel contains 50 times more energy than the best batteries know or even proposed.

  • Fucking lame design.

  • One of the core problems is that the useful cargo area is at the far front and is very small. To make this more usefull, it may be desirable to switch to a two fan design, and position them either side of a cargo area. This can be very snug at the middle by tapering there. You might be able to switch to one, more powerful jet engine, but add safety by adding an electric boost option, that could operate to replace the jet if it breaks down for several minutes, and boost during takeoff.

  • @atbee i totaly agree but only 1 comment as if i see the future for this as the copter on avatar am i right !!!

  • You Are Living In A Dream World. Fiberglass - Carbon Fiber - Plastic - Etc

Is The Wrong Thing To Be Building An Airplane Out Of.

Maybe You Better Start Thinking About How Many Trusting Souls Your Going To Kill With This Piece Of Crap. Just Ask John Denver If He Still Likes Fiberglass Planes.

Fiberglass Snaps Under Pressure, Especially Cold Fiberglass.

And Plastic Gears, Are You Kidding ?

  • @farmerstel1 They built airplanes out of wood and fabric for decades and some of the fastest stunt planes pulling incredible G's are made from carbon fiber. Plus he says nothing about fiberglass.
