Oh, you don't know the half of it. It's not so much that the Sonic fanbase is corrupted, but rather, it floods the internet with whiny Deviantartlet furries who constantly bicker about the flaws of ANYTHING they can pick apart within the franchise, while simultaneously flaunting their "ORIGINAL CHARACTER DO NOT STEAL" recolors. I can see why the guy wants to avoid them...
