  • I had the honor of visiting Nigeria back in 2008 and it was truly a life changing experience. The people were very warm, friendly and hospitable. And the women were very beautiful. The wedding in this video was great! God bless the happy couple!!

  • Thanks for all the great blessings from everyone : )

  • @rgb404 i wish most blacks had your attidute and where open enough to learn new things but i think it is very difficult to undo 400hrs of brainwashing and misinformation here.. you did a good job though.. you tried cos you fooled me, i couldnt tell who was whom here..

  • Order in the Court: I'd like a quart of slaw. :D The bride's so beautful and that was an interesting video. Thanks for uploading.

  • Why do people constantly resort to racist comments saying "Black" or "White". People are people! It doesn't make any one of any race worse or greater than the other. Honestly! But that's great this couple wishes to celebrate their wedding from their Nigerian culture. :) Many blessings to them.

  • Ayyyyyh! Beautiful! Just like the movies. I'm proud of my African heritage. I love an African wedding ceremony. We in the Caribbean have lost a lot of our African cultures but are aware and now make a conscious effort to maintain the same. God bless the couple with long life, happiness, prosperity and a whole village of bhingies (hope I got that right)lol!

  • This brought tears to my eyes watching this video through its entirety. These were tears of joy - not sadness. This American BRTHR went BACK home!! I don't know if anyone truly understands the significance of this union, but it is exemplary of what is yet to come on a global scale amongst the Black/Nubun races on this planet. This is how we heal ourselves and clean up genetic bloodlines. We must return home!

  • (Cont'd) To restore our spiritual systems, to solve our OWN problems and make life better for future generations, we must return home!

  • @GingerBronze Thanks for your sincere comments Ginger: )

  • SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!!

  • @GingerBronze Thanks for your comments Ginger. And yes you are so correct about healing ourselves, fixing bloodlines, and spiritual healing!!

    Thanks again : )

  • @rgb404 - You're welcome. I deleted my original comment to make corrections and my PC froze. In frustration, I didn't make a 2nd attempt. But, you got my post anyway. So, I made the necessary modifications for repost.

May the ANKHcestors bless your union eternally.

  • God bless ur union

  • Oluwalogbon you are very correct in your format of thinking. I being from American and traveling to Africa learned first hand the internal spiritual connection my soul had with this place. Going to my wife's village almost brought tears to my ears as I connected with the roots of my origin! It is sad to see the brainwashed effects from this governmental media controlled indoctrination of our brothers, sisters, and children ->

  • I constantly try to educate(warn) those willing to learn about the hidden agendas of this government and its misrepresentation of true black history! For I am truly awake.....

  • you are welcome to check out my channel for more africanness!! lol! am off to nigeria end of next week and i havent been home for ages! it will be interesting to see the changes ... and the heat!!.

  • i do hope that you bring up your children to think of themselves as Africans and make sure that they know where they come from its very important for them to have a sense of SELF..

  • i actually thought that your wife was the black american!.lol! you can most definately pass as an african apart from the american accent you wouldnt be out of place in her hometown ...

  • lol!! That's what many, many said during my visits to Nigeria! It was very nice!

  • @oluwalogbon58 hell brother i would like too know what song title and artist it is on this video second time hearing song but dont know who made please tell me hotep

  • @357unbreakable by 2face idibia its called "African Queen"...

  • @357unbreakable The music in order of the video was:

    1. African Queen by 2 Face

    2. Party Time by Cleffmoo

    3. Forever by Paul Play

Thanks for the comments : )

  • @rgb404 My brother all I can say is beautiful. Almost made a grown man cry. Shalom!

  • @rgb404 make sure you keep close ties to your wife's hometown..its very IMPORTANT that you do.. your children need to know that their mothers place is a place of pride not shame our soil is the BEST there is no replacement for it.. nothing is better than HOME..

  • yet, africans are questioned because they dont drop their identity to suit the foibles of a foriegn culture with alien values.. for instance, africans respect MARRIAGE, we value marriage and the man has a central role to play in the household. slavery took that role away from men in the americas and the carriebean and that thinking still persists today..we just dont have that set up it doesnt exist in africa . colonialism is one thing, but culture or a lack of cultural identity is another.

  • and why be something else when what you have is precious and valuable.. ? you can have the BEST OF BOTH WORLDS.. i know because i enjoy the best of both worlds.. it has always been part of my own up bringing .. most people are shocked that being born in the uk i speak my language and identify with my culture.. but its not rocket science.. BE YOURSELF.. its very simple , with that you cannot go wrong in life..nobody questions a frenchman who clings to his language and culture around the world

  • very important for african PARENTS to INSTILL that pride and self worth and cultural identity in their children.. it is IMPORTANT that they KNOW who they are and where they are from.. I HATE IT..when i hear AFRICAN KIDS say "i was born here in the uk am english" that is a total NONSENSE.. no you are NOT.. you are an AFRICAN BORN IN THE UK.. there is no shame in this, but again, when led by a white owned media and the legacy of colonial rule there are those who would love to be something else

  • oluwalogbon thanks for some inspiring words. i'm in the process of sending my two girls to school in nigeria. even though the have always gone home, i think they need to see nigeria as it really is. teach them not to take life for granted. even though i'll provide everything they need, it wouldn't hurt for them to get a perspective on nigerian culture firs hand to see their country as it is, warts and all

  • well, to encourage you even more, i too did the same thing and i dont regret it.. our children need to have firm roots back home, no matter where they go and what they do ..anywhere in the world they should stand tall as nigerians as yoruba, igbo, efik, fulani, hausa, shekeri, bini people, and all the other ethnic groups back home i forgot to mention , i went home 3weeks ago and i am glad i did, tis been too long!! no matter the weather , home is still home..

  • So beautiful! I love tradtional weddings.

  • That bring tears to my eyes, to see that love in my people, and great music who was that< I would love to know. ASHA

  • Great video presentation! Fun and enlightening.

  • Thanks for all the kind words from everyone : )

  • this is one of the many many cultures that we have in nigeria , every culture has their own traditions and style of marriage.

  • nigerian wedding...igbo kwenu

  • very intresting about the marriage in arica. from india

  • I Love This!!!!

  • Ah! The more I think about it, the more Ithink I might end up marrying a Nigerian. My university is full of them!

  • I was amazed at the conversations I had with co-workers from Africa about family life, respect, and the difference between our cultures. Before I went to Africa the conversations alone change my views of my own race. After I went to Africa.....It changed my life!

Mine too sister!! (smiles) I have never been happier (((Lol)))

  • Thats why it is important to teach diaspora blacks to stop hating themselves based on the negative and false images of africans and africa given by a white media intent on keeping you all in your place.. its sad that you had to travel to africa to get a sense of your own worth, something that we take for granted on a daily basis... respect and value is something you can never get in any white country its the truth.. no matter how money you make you can never be valued better than at home.

  • thank you for addressing this olu you took the words out my mouth.I LOVE AFRICA

  • well unfortunately most diaspora blacks hate africa because they hate themselves so much as they are taught from the day they are born that africa is the devil.. it keeps diaspora blacks in check and keeps their heads messed up the whiteman has done his job and whatsmore most blacks dont understand this and continue to whinge for the whitemans respect something they can never have ..

  • @oluwalogbon58 u are a brilliant commentator. However, I think this behaviour of self hate is common amongst Africans raised in Europe than those raised in North America. Whilst this Africans are mostly to blame, however, what you have to realise is that the historical relationship between Africa and Europe has remained master servant relationship. Africans raised in Europe have been surreptitiously brainwashed that every thing about Africa is bad.

  • yes, i agree with you , africans not all of them fortunately , do have a problem in the west . the younger ones, in a bid to "fit in " with the majority diaspora black kids turn away from their respective cultural influence and replace it with all the negative influences that come from the rap and hiphop culture that is spoon fed by the white owned media to blacks again. to keep them docile and in their place. i was discussing this same topic with a work colleague the other day, how it is

  • @oluwalogbon58 You could not be more right.
