He makes three main points.

First he says energy saving designs save more money than most people people think, because most don't do their math correctly.

Second, the financial gain from multiple energy saving features is greater than just adding up their separate cost savings. Most of his numbers are to prove this point.

Third: good energy saving pays for itself much faster than most think (only 10 MONTHS in his case, when most people think 10 or 20 YEARS is a good time frame for that).
