even this was fix 2 years ago. all the idler arm do is to turn the right side wheel left to right and the pitman arm on the driver side does the same thing turn the left side wheel left to right. if the rubber on the idler or pitman arm become crack or broken it will loose grease and the threaded fix bolt on the part will start to wobble and cause camber wear on the tire. It happen to me my idler arm rubber piece broke and it lost grease and now it is wobbling left to right and causing camber.
@skinnyhenry You don't have nothing to do just complain about the music, He gilligan369 this kid went to my page and did the same comment is funny............ don't you think?
Hey this is great man, thanks a lot. I figured it'd be a easy job anyway, but videos help all the more! Mines a 4wd, not sure if the video is or not, will that make much of a difference?
good job on the video, nice and clear, not annoying to watch.
great video but you should try a pitman arm on a 01 s-10. its a real bitch and you have to undo the steering box. i think i might have to buy a special puller, like compact size
I got a MRI and laughed when they asked if it was possible I had metal particles in my eyes. Glasses fog, fall off, and get sweat all over them. Still should wear 'em, I guess.
lining up the holes on the arm to the holes on the frame. Can't remember why I did it this way, suppose it can be mounted first then set on the steering knuckle.
Man, I can't explain how much gratitude I have for this video. I am in the navy and getting ready to get underway, and I really need to do this job on my 98 s-10. What great inspiration and motivation to get it done. Thanks for the guidance. Hope to see more by you. I should have done something like this for my power steering pump.
Nice video man. It is always great to listen to music when your working. I always wear safety glasses/goggles though. I've got a bad habit of getting stuff in my eyes when I'm under a car..lol

Do you have to jack the frame off the suspension to do this?
DjEndurancE 2 years ago 2
No, just get the vehicle up in the air enough to move underneath. Don't rely on the jack to hold it up, though. Jackstands are our friends!
