Thanks for sharing the vid. I bought my Civic Si used and it came with this cold air intake. I was wondering how to get the filter to change it...looks like I was right, gonna have to take off the front bumper lol.
@chekandoVideos The shop and the suspicious employees are a more likely cause of your problems not the cold air intake. It is pretty obvious it is a mechanical issue not associated with a frig gen intake. I heard that some civic si's have shitty transmissions.
@YungJosh50 yes, if you have any further questions i would advise going to to some forum. my recommendation would be 8th gen civic. if you cant find what your searching for let me know and im sure i can find it.
@Yungjosh50 so i take it you got your issue fixed, my stock civic si has yet to get new bushing even with the occasional popping out of 3rd and one time in 2nd. cant wait to get the new goods also many other recalls or "red flags" as your dealership might refer to it as. but i have found you can manipulate it to not pop. its almost like there is 2 notches into 3rd and if you don't put it in the furthest one back it will kick it back out of gear into neutral and if you
@poonpiratex420 don't put it in the furthest one back it will kick it back out of gear into neutral and if you try to put it back it grinds so double clutch the rev match, works for me.
Ok so i'm thinking about getting a cold air intake for my Si and i was wondering whats the difference between the Cold air intake from Injen and AEM. Help?
Was this hard to install? I have an 03 RSX with SRI, but I am going to switch that out for the Injen CAI. How long did it take you after you removed the bumper and did you run into any problems?
@thematariot711 15 in your dreams. lol and it does not improve gas mileage, if anything it makes it worse. if you knew how an engine worked, as mentioned below, you'll know the increase in air IN will result in an increase in fuel IN to even the air to fuel ratio. You know, what the computer does? Otherwise it would be running severely lean and you'd loose a ton of power. MAYBE an additional 3-5HP
@sideburns2009 if you drove it conservatively you'd get better mileage, but not that much better. its more of a waste of gas just because you wanna hear the deeper growl lol.

I just installed my cold air intake at a shop. But it's acting really weird my transmission is not taking all the gears. Any tips anyone.

@YungJosh50 It's only the 06 and 07 modle civic si's that have faulty bushings from 2nd- 3rd gear. the tranny's themselves are jusuuusstt fine :P

@YungJosh50 oh and it's a factory recall if you have that problem call your local dealer and ask for a free repair as many other people have done.
