I think this is a really good opening - better than other ones I've seen on YouTube.
And I like Shiri Appleby as Melinda! I'm amongst those who do actually recognise that she's Piper and Leo's daughter - and I think Shiri's a good choice for her.
there was the curious bit at the end of the season u see pheobe with her daughters, you see paige with lil henry and the twins, then you see piper & leo with chris and wyatt and a little girl who is younger than both.... and chris came back from the future who knows what changes may have occured that would change the future!!!!
But The Hellattack, we still aren't sure because she wasn't with the boys when they returned from the future due to Billie and Christy, and they would've made the potion with her and why isn't she in the pictures on the wall? I still don't think its their sister. I think its a friend or maybe someone Piper and Leo took in for a little bit.
I agree with UnseelieRaven. If that was so her daughter, why wasn't she in the picture with Wyatt and Chris? And where was she when the boys were seen making a potion? Plus the flying robots thing happened only when Wyatt was evil and ruled. Plus that little girl could've been a neighbor. I would rather see the boys in the show too because the power of three already happened.
I think they purposely put her in there without mentioning her just in case they decided to bring Melinda into the picture, they can always look back and say "hey, she was in the last episode" but yea they never mentioned her. She doesn't exist in Chris' future, maybe the new future but not in the dark twist Wyatt ruled future. And I like it like that. Bringing in a sister would destroy the dynamic the brothers share.
And about her not being in the future: So? Robots were flying around scanning for witches and Wyatt was evil. It could have been that after Wyatt was kidnapped [6x22, which is what turned him.] Piper and Leo couldn't get in the "mood". But seeing as they saved Wyatt they could have also saved Melinda. That could be why they never mentioned her in the future.
But she was never mentioned in the last episode where the sisters are talking about their children. Piper said 'my sons' if she had a daughter in the changed future she would have mentioned her when her sisters were talking about their children. So Piper has two children: Wyatt and Chris. Melinda is Phoebe's.
While I am firmly of the belief that this was supposed to be (and was) Piper's daughter in the scene with the lunchboxes, I am willing to allow that this was never stated and therefore not provable. However, it is provable that this was not Phoebe's (or Paige's) child because the girl in that scene was not any of the four girls in the other two scenes.
Due to a contest I was in that disallowed having a sister, I use that girl as a friend, but I don't believe that was who she was meant to be.
