  • i have a 50cc geared bike and practiced at home (2 weeks to my test) and i tried emergency stopping, forgot to pull the clutch up and stalled it.

  • What about geared bikes? What a shit video.

  • hi guys if your on facebook check out the 125cc and below page i made for chats about bikes , passing tests and general riding questions, its brand new so promoting a bit, just search 125cc and under scooter and bike riders (learner or full)

on facebook , cheers , matt,

  • Thats the reason that this test is conducted on private area , but remember that if your too fast , its harder to stop in the area.

  • how far over can you get away with going as technically, the test is asking us to speed!!!

  • There is no limit but truthfully you need to quickly glance down at the speed before hitting the speed sensor. It's the swerve/hazard avoidance that stumps most people as the speed coupled with the swerve it disconcerting for a new rider. Counter steering is the only way to do it I reckon but most instructors don't teach this at an early stage.

  • Make sure you reach the minimum speed as said. You feel like your doing 40mph through the speed trap but as in my first run through it was 5mph too slow! Give it gas or fail!

  • good stuff!

remember it IS speed tested and you MUST reach or exceed the required speed.
