I'm sorry but something must be said. The people who are saying the WNBA is doing better than the NBA was when it was just starting are ignoring so many factors.
When the NBA started, they not only had to get financially set, but they weren't even finished creating the sport. The rules weren't in place. The WNBA isn't starting from scratch like everyone saying, and they're getting 12 million dollars from NBA owners every year just to help keep them afloat.
Face it, that league is dying.

Here's what they need to do.
1. get rid of all the freakishly ugly women, or just all of them.
2. bring in young hot chicks out of college, don't matter if they are good or not.
3. make them wear short skirts instead of shorts.
4. lower the rim enough so they can dunk.
If they do those things, I will watch the WNBA.

i think i was misunderstood yea some players do make 80,000 but many don't b/c the league min is 30,000 and the max is 100,000 and lets be honest everyone isn't making 60,000+ therefore why bang up your body have little family time for 60,000 thats really what i should have said but i didn't also someone said they go overseas to make major money which is possibly true idk if it is true then great but why play in the wnba and international why not just have one job if the latter pays so well

yes i do know that 80,000 is more than the average job but what is the league average salary i bet its less than 80,000 b/c the most is 100,000 women in the wnba imo don't have real reason to want to play yea 80,000 is good money but not in something with no job security b/c 80 grand doesn't go very far if u live in houston for example also i haven't watched the WNBA since 1999 i think personally i think the league should try and make themselves different from the NBA to sell it better

try not to watch it. we are upset because everytime we go to the nba website or watch the nba on tv, we get this shit thrown in our faces. don't they get it? we don't want to watch these people play basketball. and i did some research into the salary argument. the salary cap for a WNBA team is $772,000 that is just $7,390 more than the MINIMUM salary for ONE two-year veteran of the NBA. that means that the WORST 2-year veteran in the NBA gets paid more-or-less as much as an ENTIRE WNBA team.
