The conservative figure of 10% of Egypt's population being christian is from the CIA World Fact book. Now please cite your source. However, non-Muslim and non-Christian religious affiliation would be higher and an additional 5% at least because not everybody fits into the category of Jews, Copts and Muslims. There are also, atheists in Egypt (too many to count and alot of them would not be honest about it because of a restriction in civil liberties.

The Muslims in modern Egypt were the ones conquered by the Arabs.
