I would take to the same asturian tricky roads where i drive my actual car, so as to see if the first order technology it has is as heart-touching as my busso powered 147GTA. :)
my first out drive with the new giulietta would go in a convoy with some dozen or hundred alfisti to Milan to that firmly weekend on the occasion of the centenary of alfa romeo. I would invite some "non-alfista" to participate and celebrate together, to bring them all the great giulietta closer, "to feel" the newest alfa romeo with the beautiful design, convince about the great multiair-engines... and the alfa virus! Would be a pleasure for the old, present and future giuliettaholics ;-)

i don't care about the location... really don't... when my hands grab her steering wheel the only thing i would mind is to be inside her and just drive anywhere, no matter if this place is the most popular in the world or just an "unknown" location... Two things only matter in this case... me and this wonderful piece of automobile history that expresses my feelings...
Alfa μου εσύ...
Considering I am looking for a new car, preferably one to take up to the ski resort near where I live, I would love to have a newer Alfa. Unfortunately that isn't possible here in the US. So I would take the Giulietta on its first drive to Dodge Ridge to go skiing, there are many corners that would be amazing in an Alfa! I hope to take my GTV6 on that drive when it warms up! Especially if it was today, my birthday!!!!
With the experience of driving 155, 156 and Brera around the Greece and Italy, I think the perfect place to drive the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta is the hard and adrupt roads in Taormina at Sicelia. With many tunnels and incredible view of sea the only think someone want one powerful Alfa Romeo...Especially Giulietta...Just think about it...
I Would like to Drive Alfa Giulietta across my Heart's Road... with my passion for Alfa Romeo with a great companion of journey... she's Giulietta the last creature of Alfa Romeo a never ending passion, since i was born...
-
A single road can't be enough for the new Giulietta. I'm used to travel all around the Europe with my Alfas. The Giulietta needs more: coast to coast in the US. From the beautiful country roads of Massachusetts to the dusty roads of Monument Valley and than from the sandy roads of West National Parks to the rainy streets of San Francisco. An american dream with an italian heart.
Question: We took Alfa Romeo Giulietta to the Arctic Circle for winter testing, but where would you choose to take the car for your first drive and why?
On a road full of corners. The coast near Otranto, for example.
Giulietta and I would be found in Milan and then went the way of Serbia. This is why... watch on youtube Serbia - Visit Serbia - The True Face of Serbia
I would take my Alfa Romeo on our first drive on a Sunday night through the dead quiet streets of the City of London square mile - just to hear the MultiAir engine rasp against the cold walls, watch the lights dance over my beautiful new Giulietta, and smile at our perfect reflection in the windows as we pass...
In the neighbourhood, there is this nice little road in a forresty-hilly terrain. It's only a few km's, but my god it's good to drive it. At least, in my 147, the car gets to unleash its full potential. So I can't imagine a better road to take the Giulietta for a spin!
I wold go with it among all Italy: every twilight, seaside, mountain, would be more magic.Because an Alfa is freedom, emotion, tecnology with soul, that no other has.The Giulietta belongs to an Alfa full of passion.
I would drive her home immediately .. all the way from Torino to Holland crossing half of Europe, introducing her to my 4-year old 147 ..! Surely they will have tons of stories to swap: Giulietta about all her new developments & features and 147 about all the great adventures she and I already shared! ;-)
First drive?? Since I live in Naples, I would take this car on the road to Vesuvius. It's a hard way so I could listen the power of the new multiar. I believe that Giuletta is a wanderful car. So i hope to win this competition...bye
I would take the Giulietta to the biggest annual Alfa Romeo meeting in Hungary, called Alfacity, to amuse my friends who are dying to see it in it's real form. And after that I would also visit the biggest European BMW meeting, just to show them what a real sports car should look like :-)
I would drive the car to London, not to test the car, but to finally see my girlfriend again who I haven't been able to see for 7 months now due to our busy schedules. Why? Hehe first kiss was actually in my 147 '02 model... Love goes anywhere were it shouldn't go... Who knows might find the right words to ask her then. *hopes she doesn't read this*
First drive? Floating on the morning ground fog, Giulietta is peacefully aiming the top of the Passo di Stelvio. The sun is about to wake up and the gleaming beauty of hundreds of dewdrops is taking place all over the bonnet. Natural and human art blended together. That's the reason.
I would take Giulietta to our summer vocation, to Northern lands. You now, the beauty of fjords and cruel nature all around us. This is the perfect place, where We can demonstrate the power of engine, driving properties, beautiful playful italian design and the most incredible... her cuore sportivo!
I would drive my Giulietta from Turin to Cape Town, all along Italy and Africa, to get there by the world cup final and celebrate the new phenomenon of car market and (hopefully) Italy's victory!
I would take this beautiful girl from Hell to Heaven, right from Badwater Basin Death Valley California to Wildrose peak, basically from -282 ft. and 45°C to 9,064 ft. and -5°C. Extreme conditions for an extremely gorgeous car ! How can she handle this?
I would take the new Giulietta for a spin in the wonderful hills in southern tuscany, on the east side of the Superstrada between Siena and Grosseto. I drove so many italian cars in this area (Lancia Delta, many Fiats), it would be nice to see how the Giuletta handles there.
Hmmm, my comment disappeared, so I will repost with a few edits: I would take this new car cross country from an east coast starting point like the Italian district of New York City to Little Italy in San Francisco, CA. Why? It has never been done AND a generation or two of have never seen or heard of Alfa Romeo since they pulled out of the US market. But as an owner of a 1967 Guilia, it would be a experience of a lifetim. It will be a start of Alfa Romeo's return to the US.
It has been a long time since I have owned and driven any Alfa since my 146 days. Have been driving in solid german cars, they drive well but since the day I had my first drive of the Mito, It has reminded me what is it really like to be "Alive" in driving.
So my first drive with the Giulietta would be in my heart where I will feel Alive again and never look back as any roads will be the best roads in a Giulietta!
I would choose to take it for its first drive on my daily route to course and friend's places along the winding desolate back roads of where I live. The greatest driving experiences I've had have been on these roads of my daily life enjoying the travels of destination to destination. To test drive a car on these roads would be the greatest test to see if a car can inspire my life.
I would take my Alfa Romeo on our first drive through the dead quiet streets of the City of London square mile on a Sunday night. - just to hear the MultiAir engine rasp against the cold walls, watch the lights dance over my beautiful new Giulietta, and smile at our perfect reflection in the windows as we pass
My first ride would be the long way from my hometown to the Lake di Garda - an italian car in italian area with wonderful weather and landscape - what else?
Would start at South west Cornwall and using A roads head up through Wales, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Lake District and head up to the Highlands of Scotland. Any car that can do these roads is a winner and an Alfa on these roads would be heaven.
I would deffinitelly not choose an autostrada or some racing road. Alfa makes the dearest cars, that fill you with adrenalline! Make you wanna go for curved, demanding routes. That's the spirit of these cars, that love you and make you love them. Yes, I would choose rural ways in Greece or south Italy. Stunning sceneries for astonishing cars.
i would like to do my first test drive to be somewhere in Scotland, highlands where it will be a very long road, great landscape and it will be only me and the car!
It would make sense to make a world tour trip with Giulietta, so that the journey never ends. But I guess that for a first drive, I would drive it to Milan, in order to somehow thank its magnificent ancestors for allowing me to drive Giulietta today. And then, take it back home for the beginning of my Giulietta story. I am sure this would be a great drive!
I would take her first for a ride in the narrow streets of Monte Carlo to get the feeling of original driving pleasure with all these turns and then I would drive all the way to North of Europe to show people over there what is the meaning of a "car with soul" and why I bought my first Alfa just because of the test drive.
Can't wait for summer... and not just because I 've missed the sun.
I would take my Giulietta for the first drive in a fantastic "Alfa Tour". Milano (ex Portello), Arese, Balocco, and finally, Monza's circuit. With my girlfriend driving my "old" 89's alfa 75!
The Almeria´s desert in south Spain, there´s a Michelin hard test circuit and Farwest escenaries, very visual (so much of the Spaguetti Westerns has been filmed there).
I'd wish to drive it from my own city, Valencia, and make a route through Europe -not too long-, to Bern; Starting from the modern buildings of my city, I'd drive to the Pyrenees, enjoying the paissage and the car both. Then I'd arrive to Cannes, and spend a night there. Next day I'd head Switzerland to visit Geneve and Bern (making a stop in Evian before enter).
Spent another night at Bern, I'd come back changing places, thinking while driving, where I would to go. Thanks for your attention :)
I would take my Giulietta for the first drive on the "Appennino Romagnolo" from Predappio to Meldola via the "Rocca delle Camminate" way: a very difficult road with hairpin bends and great gradient. The landscape is fantastic and you can see the see. The road is the set of the Predappio-Rocca delle Camminate hillclimb race.
I would take it to the the "Col de la Bonnette" in the French Alps... Tis Road is the most amazing thing nearby and would fit the Giulietta perfectly as to its great cornering potential... 30 minutes of heavenly cornering roads, with at the end a view of the top of the world... at 3000m. That would release my Alfa Ego :-)
I would take my Giulietta from Mailand (Milan) to Cape Town (South Africa) to be a part of the football world cup there and to show this beauty to as many people as I can...
I would take Giulietta from Rome to St. Tropez... Delicious brunch in Rome, then beautiful road by Mediterranean sea and plenty of time to get to know each other very well. At finish, slow round in St. Tropez to show off my new beauty and a lovely dinner at a restaurant with my wonderful wife. Nothing can beat that!
I would take the Alfa Romeo Giulietta for my first drive in Southern California U.S.. Southern California is the center of automotive car culture and many people would love to see a new Alfa Romeo here. I would show the Giulietta's style and technology to the many Alfisti in the area and take many drive's in the Giuietta because of the sunny weather. I might even take it to the race track.
Leaving Sydney heading south through the rotyal national park to open the taps and see what shes got.. Thencontinuing through to the seacliff bridge and take in the magic of the Australian coast..
And then fly to London to and put the car around the tiop gear test track with the stig as my co pilot
I'd take it to Wales - why? It's beautiful, like the car, it has open non congested roads (Alfa country), my daughter lives there (gives me an excuse to drive there and have a reason to!) and we both love Alfas - sounds perfect!
I would like to reach the limits of its possibilities in the streets of Monaco. Place where it will likely show its high class. Place where its Cuore sportivo could make anyone turns and gazes at its unique design.Giulietta makes me bristle, this is a car that I will drive anywhere, because it is not just a car, this is a car with soul and heart.
I would like to drive Giulietta near her house, in Verona....
I imagine to be her Romeo, run all day with her along the streets of his homeland, savoring every curve (of his body and the road). And when the night will fall, bring back my princess to her castle.
Imagine a tunnel, with nice curves like an Italian girl Imagine there is only you and your alfa ego Imagine the motor sound in the tunnel, ringing in your ears Imagine this tunnel is made of only mirrors Imagine whereever you stare, you only see the Giulietta Imagine you see its beauty from every possible angle At every side mirror, Imagine what you see You see more than a car You hear more than a sound You realize its more than the reflections around you There, i would like to make my first drive
I would drive my 2010 Giulietta over the original route of the CANNONBALL SEA-TO-SHINING-SEA MEMORIAL TROPHY DASH ( from New York City to Los Angeles) in honor of Bob Rost and Richard Jenkins who ran the race in 1972 in an Alfa Romeo Giulia. (their time was 38 hrs. 37 min. What a way to celebrate Alfa Romeo's 100th Anniversary!! si si !!!! lo ti Alfa Romeo!!!!
I Would The Alffa Giulette to the Egypt desert to see her pure Beauty of the Giuliette, only me and the alfa noting else, noting that can Distract me from the beauty of this Masterpiece.
Me and the alfa in the hot wind take over alfa and drive to then end less desert with her.
My perfect drive of the Giulietta would be from Davos in Switzerland, south through Italy to Bormio. Fill the tank, then on, south to the Stelvio pass, with the sun shining, the sky clear and air crisp, my car & I unleashing our Alfa Ego upon the land. As there is no other place that could like a forgotten pagan god summon the Italian soul of the car, Leaving rubber on every corner, bringing the breaks to the point of glowing and to leave the mountains alive with the sound of my roaring exhaust.
Having Alfas most of my young life, and none now as I near my road trips end, I would simply care and nurture the car as I have my other Alfa's, and respectfully drive it back e forth work and life, with the spirited pace it deservesi, throughout all Michigan's sunny nice weather, and its' awful brutal winters as well. With any Alfa, every trip is an adventure, even just to the grocery and return! Alfissimo!
I would test Giulietta in Midle finland, There are wonderful and curvy snowroads and also wonderful curvy gravelroads and tarmacroads in summer. where I could see Giuliettaʼs audacious nature and to feel an italian stallion mood! I want to know it's giulietta better than Alfa 156 GTA, which is my car.
I would definitely take my Giulietta to the winding roads of the Swiss alps, where I could not only test every single piece of my new car (steering, handling, braking - which should be great being it's an Alfa Romeo), but I would also be able to take some awesome pictures with the amazing view, the alps in the background. And of course our first ride would take a couple of hours. :P
I would take this new car cross country from the east coast start point like New York City all the way to San Francisco, CA. Why? It has never been done AND a generation or two of have never seen or heard of Alfa Romeo since they pulled out of the US market. But as an owner of an older Gulia (1967), it would be a experience of a lifetime. Particularly if it will be a start of Alfa Romeo's return to the US.
The Giulietta would be so much fun here in Arizona. On my first drive, I would drive north from the Phoenix area into the mountains where there are excellent twisty roads. Then I would head to Rt. 66 and head West. I would take US 93 North into Las Vegas to cruise the strip in my Italian exotic!
I would test Giulietta in Rovaniemi, though it's the same Arctic Circle. But there are wonderful snowroads where I could see Giuliettaʼs audacious nature and to feel an italian wayward mood!
I would drive my Alfa Giulietta around the Scottish Highlands so that my fellow Scots can enjoy the view of a stunning car as amazing as nature itself.
I've already taken a ride in Giulietta in my mind, through the tremendous road of my blood flow and the first drive with this beauty doesn't exist, it was in my heart all along !!!
My first drive is bound to be a long one! I intend to take a leave from work, travel from my greek hometown through the mountains of Epirus, Albania, the former Yugoslav countries, all the way to Sweden and back, or an alternate route would be to go round the Mediterranean Sea. I don't think I would be satisfied with a short drive...
Sarà Lei a portarmi.Sarà Lei a decidere dove andare.
If I had to take the Giulietta somewhere, I would take it to the Great Pyramid in Egypt, where the last wonder of the ancient world would meet the new born wonder of the modern world
i would take it to the downs near me some really nice roads there a lot of different corners, hills etc. I would choose an exotic location like Dubai but I don't think I could wait that long to drive it so it would be the close option
If I had to take the Guilietta somewhere, I would take it to the Great Pyramid in Egypt, where the last wonder of the ancient world would meet the new born wonder of the modern world
I would take the car for a drive on the beautiful mountain roads in The Pyrenees, between France and Spain. These roads would do proper justice to the handling of the car.
I would drive it at Monza's race track. Because Alfas are sports cars, and they belong to the track, an Alfa must always feel good on a track, if it does then it's good for the road, and nothing else maters.
I would take the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta to the Stelvio Pass, one of the greatest driving roads on this world. As a true Alfa Romeo enthusiast, I already took my 147 to the test and it is at such roads that the true character of Alfa Romeo's comes alive!
My first drive of new Giulietta would be somewhere in the Italian countryside. Beautiful car in the beautiful landscape. It would be just me and the car. Nothing could interrupt our moment of pleasure - the pleasure of driving and breaking the laws of physics.
There's this little town way above Williamsport, Pennsylvania, US called Waterville. It's gorgeous up there, and there's this road called Rt. 414. Filled with sloping land, beautiful scenery, and fun turns that I know well, this road would be the perfect place for me to kindle my love and bond with the Giulietta.
My first ever alfa was an 1981 Giulietta and I simply loved it. The old owner told me that once he took that car and drove from where i live ( Italy) to London. I always wanted to do that trip myself with the Giulietta but unfortunately i've sold her a few months ago. My first drive with the new Giulietta than would be a trip to London to honour my first love, that old Giulietta I'll never forget...
i would drive it in my hometown Ingolstadt(hometown of audi) Germany to show all the ... audi fans and workers , how a real nice car have to sound and look like.

I'm your Romeo. Let's go home Giulietta. There will be time to drive tomorrow, now let me just stop and stare at you.
Thanks men, you did a great job once again!

i don't care about the location... really don't... when my hands grab her steering wheel the only thing i would mind is to be inside her and just drive anywhere, no matter if this place is the most popular in the world or just an "unknown" location... Two things only matter in this case... me and this wonderful piece of automobile history that expresses my feelings...

For that reason I would take her for my first drive to the most beautiful and romantic city, Firenze (Florence).

In the neighbourhood, there is this nice little road in a forresty-hilly terrain. It's only a few km's, but my god it's good to drive it. At least, in my 147, the car gets to unleash its full potential. So I can't imagine a better road to take the Giulietta for a spin!

It has been a long time since I have owned and driven any Alfa since my 146 days. Have been driving in solid german cars, they drive well but since the day I had my first drive of the Mito, It has reminded me what is it really like to be "Alive" in driving.

I'd drive it around the Welsh hills up against my old 145 Cloverleaf to see which is better...

I would take the new Giulietta to a run over five passes in Switzerland. So I would notice the power, the road holding and the sound.

Sarà Lei a portarmi.Sarà Lei a decidere dove andare.
Giulietta,ti aspettiamo.

I would take the Alfa Giulietta on a trip around Chios; a beautiful Greek island in the North East Mediterranean border.
I drove my 159 ti there and loved every second of it :)
