its great to see Barlow back In Iced Earth To Reign once again at the TOP.When Barlow left the band I lost interest,seems like they went backwards,& sounded like all the other shit bands out there.You see with Barlow he's got such a unique singing style,his voice alone matches that Iced Earth Power/thrash/speed metal ASSAULT,His vocal cords are FUCKIN" weapons man!!I take my hat off 2 him.I loved that Schaefer re-recorded the classic vintage Iced Earth songs with Barlow singin'Great move dude.

Well i'm sorry but i highly doubt you! Albums like Night of the Stormrider, Burnt Offerings, Dark Saga, Something Wicked, Horror Show okay they rule. But the last one completely sucks compared to the others. Dont get me wrong i'm a huge fan, but i like being objective about music. Point me out ONE song except for "I walk Alone", that's half as good as the worst song of dark saga, or any other album after the stormrider. My point is, Iced Earth is MUCH MORE than the last album.

Minions of the Watch, Harbinger Of Fate, The Dimension Gauntlet....all these songs give a feeling of continuity that is needed when making a concept album, thats why I highly appreciate it

fair enough but catch up with the times. If Iced Earth still played like on Stormrider (no discredit) their audience would have dispersed. Don't get me wrong it's one of my favourites.

well maybe In Sacred Flames/behold the wicked child can be compared to DEpths of hell,scarred or the last laugh(maybe even Dark Saga)but,yes I agree,the last and the albums you've named are just on different levels.

And the dark saga will always be my favourite.

I'm a big fan but I theink Greely was ideal for that album. Barlow would be a bit too emotional for stormrider! Greely just sounded evil which is much better for carrying that particular story.

Aside from that, Can't wait to see IE in august!! :D

Greely *was* a good singer, for the theme of the concept album as mentioned above. He was just a freakin' nazi (literally. How do you make rude comments to an old woman praying at a deathcamp site?) and a thief, so they sent em' packing. And rightfully so.

Every Iced Earth album is worth having, but "Something Wicked This Way Comes" in my opinion is one of the best albums of IE or any band.
