Hi, my boy behaves like this too.... Regarding your video, I'm afraid he might forget everything that i thought him when i unleash him. Please pm me. THanks.
Yeah, I think getting your timing down is the best part. It's always seems to take my clients a long time to work on this. I just rewatched the video though, when did I click for her standing? I did say "Yes" accidentally as she stood up, at one point, but I didn't hear me click for it.
You are doing a good job. It's not the click that's off, however you are treating sometimes when Beans is not sitting. Try moving in closer and lowering you hand so that Beans does not have to stand or partly stand for the treat. Otherwise, it can give her mixed signals that she sits, then stands for the treat. Later, you C&T while she remains seated teaching her to sit longer. Very nice. However, also work on walking away/return to reinforce sitting on approach now that she is getting it.
Ah, okay. I see what you mean. I tried to correct that throughout the video. I started to treat a little bit after the click, so she was still sitting.
I can't get the whole ten minutes or so of video I have on here. My camera loads it in a different format and Windows Movie Maker cannot recognize it. My file converter is a free trial so I can't convert more than five minutes at a time. I'll work this week on getting more footage up.
I've haven't really tried clicker training but I hear food things about it.
BUT I've never seen a dog that has gone through it and doesn't then need a click, or indeed a treat.
Is there any footage of this dog after this clicker conditioning?

If you have had success with this dog, why don't you show it, without the dog being tethered? That is what I would rather see.

Nice work! I like the equipment you're using here - helps the human remain patient and the dog comfortable while limiting thier options.

Thank you. I try not to reinforce the behavior at all, so this worked pretty well.

Your timing is off. only click and treat the dog while it is sitting not once it stands up.
