thats where it should be although you are forgetting about the fact its a phone and as such needs a little bit of plastic for the aerial :( the reason they stopped using metal apart from cost is that the aesthetics was ruined by the plastic on the metal back :(

I hate the chromatic design, though. If the next iPhone is anything like it, I'm definitely not upgrading. That design on the original iPhone (silver top with black bottom) was the only problem I had with the design. If Apple brings it back, I won't buy it.
