Also, Jack Welch does not own the property, it was a rental for the last six years, and he has since moved. 40 Beacon is currently for sale with an asking price north of $20m. It used to house the Women's City Club of Boston until 1992.

Jack Welch lives in the The Daniel Parker House at 40 Beacon St., he was Appleton's partner. The Nathan Appleton house is # 39 and is a separate residence.
