  • I thought wooden spoons were bad to cook with compared to metal/plastic utensils... Because the wood absorbs the liquids and things.. And it is a bit harder to clean. So, the bacteria that could be left over on the spoon might get into the next dish you are creating..

  • At an italian wedding I went to recently they served a lemon sorbet as an intermezzo that was to die for!! It was the most delicious thing ive ever had. They served it in half a frozen lemon which added a cute touch. That would be great if you had a recipe for something similar. Love your vids Chef John! :)

    salt and pepper arent necessarily a standalone flavours.... other flavours can be balanced out and highlighted with seasonings, without being overpowered or the 'sole' thing you can taste. this is the aim here, to balance and highlight the taste of the blackberries.
